On Sunday, Mark Nysewander will be sharing about the most faithful followers of Jesus...the women! When everyone else deserted him, they stayed and ministered to Jesus. The heart behind the message they followed was not to be ministered to BY Jesus but instead to minister TO Jesus, a model of how we are called to live our lives!

Sunday is Pentecost Sunday. It is the day that officially marked the launch of the church as the disciples were empowered by the Spirit and sent into a world in desperate need. This Sunday, we will take time to break it down, look at its history, what it means, and why it is so important!

Mothers are meant to be celebrated, and that is exactly what we will do this Sunday. We will take time to look at Mary, the mother of Jesus, her strength, and how Jesus cared for her. But we will also talk about the influence moms from all walks of life have in the lives of those they are investing in and how necessary they are in our world today.

This Sunday, we will talk about the mission of the church, our place in it, and the supernatural power of God that enables us. The message will be simple: we are incapable of doing anything God calls us to do in our own strength. We need Him!

We’ve said for a couple of weeks now that being Intentional in our pursuit of Jesus requires effort and energy, and that knowing him the way we want doesn’t happen by chance or by accident. But what is the destination of our effort and energy? What does that mean, and what is God calling us to? On Sunday, we will talk about what it means to slow down and rest in Jesus!

One of the byproducts of living Intentionally is that it takes time to achieve our desired outcome. That time period requires waiting, and waiting is something most people struggle with!! On Sunday, we will talk about the biblical understanding of it, how it is talked about in scripture, and how we can apply it to our lives today.

This Sunday, we continue our Intentional series, focusing on the words of Jesus and Paul as they talk about the internal struggle we all face between our passions and our convictions. Our hope for Sunday is to be honest about our struggle, recognize God’s strength, and take steps towards a more intentional life in Jesus!!
