Paul addresses in 2 Corinthians 12:1-10 how every person needs to boast in their weakness. We should be telling God's story, not ours, and embracing our inferiority within that.

Humility, though it feels counter to us, is where the greatest power is found. Jesus celebrated and moved in power because His life was one of dependance on God.

God wants to do things in us. God wants to do things through us. He wants to move in and through our lives. We are ti be a blessing to the nations. He clearly states to us that in our own strength, we can do nothing of eternal value. We are in need of God's power moving in our lives.

Jesus came as the Light of Life that humans are designed by God to live in. When we aren't dwelling in Jesus's light, we are dying in the darkness and brokenness of our world.

Learning to step away from the commercialism of Christmas and getting back to the basics of giving of ourselves.

Continuing the study of Philippians, we see Paul talking about three things in chapter 1 verses 14-21: 1. Our spiritual family is of utmost importance, 2. Our motivation for living life must be Jesus, 3. Contentment is found in Jesus and Jesus in others

A living sacrifice to Jesus, EVERY DAY, is what we are called to do. However, from sacrifice comes fulfillment, growth, maturity and partnership with Jesus.

Like Paul, we are called to be slaves (Greek doulos) of Christ.

Where we have been as a church and where we are going.

"You shall not bow down and worship an idol; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God." - Exodus 20:5

Learning about discipleship and facing our mountains with obedience based on Abraham's example.

We must go after Christ without compromise or question. This is the litmus test of discipleship. We must sacrifice ourselves so we can be obedient to Jesus every day of our life.

Christians are called to serve and disciple one another while being in relationship with them.

As we grieve the commemoration of our nation's loss. There is joy in the unification of salvation in the midst of death. When we stop practicing individualism, unity becomes, we serve one another, producing life within us.

God is a relational God and His mission for us is to give away the blessing He gives to us.

all of God's followers have the power and the will to change through the work that he has done in us through Jesus

Recognition of where we are in life can determine our perspective. God's sanctification can give you a perspective shift to know your value in His eyes. Galatians 3:26-27 “You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ."

Sometimes we hit a wall, knowing that God is real, but we are stuck in the gap of our worldly trials and our Christian relationship with Jesus. We need to be humble before God and not be in competition with him.

“make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.
