This Sunday, November 24th, Scott Crawford will be sharing from Genesis 11, exposing the heart of the people apart from God. How often do we live thinking like those who were building the Tower of Babel, taking complete control of our lives? As a jealous God, He wants to displace those ways and replace them with a heart where He can begin to fully lead us into authentic Kingdom living.

"We have spent the past few weeks talking about the displacement of idols in our lives. But here is a question...Do you truly trust Jesus to replace it with something better? This week we will be diving into the wisdom of Jesus and our struggle grabbing hold of it. Why? Because who knows what I need more than me!!"

This week, as we near the end of our "gods at war" study, Steve will be preaching on the "gods of self" that we ALL struggle with, and how they hinder the movement of the Lord in our lives.

As we make our way through the "gods at war" study, Steve will continue to examine the "gods" that compete for our heart. This week he will be exploring the gods of power and how they compete with Jesus for our love and attention.

This weekend Vintage will celebrate baptisms! Steve will continue to preach through the "gods at war" study. This week he will be exploring the gods of love in our lives and the impact that they have on each of us.

This weekend Vintage will join the Transformation Network of Churches in a pulpit swap. Ernie Wagoner, the lead pastor at Sojourn Church, will be preaching on the next piece in our "gods at war" study, focusing on "gods of love." We will also be commissioning and praying for the Bagwell family, as they prepare to leave for Colorado on the first part of their launch into long term missions to India...

Biblically speaking, the heart is the center of every human being. This week Steve will be preaching on how our idols influence who we are and how we respond. It's those idols that often lead us into behaviors and circumstances that we do not wish to be associated with or find ourselves in. Join us this Sunday as we dive deeper into idols of the heart.

Last week Steve talked about finding joy in the journey. What do we do when life is defined by the mundane and drudgery of everyday existence, feeling like we have no calling or purpose? This week Steve will be talking about the reality we all face, and how in the midst of this, we can still find joy in the journey.

Steve has been talking about the single minded devotion, zeal, that God has for us and the confidence we can have in Him. This week Steve wants to share his heart with us about these things and the open door that is available to us with knowing Jesus this way!

Each of us look for people in our lives in whom we can have confidence...people who are loyal and love us at all times! What if we were awakened to this truth about Jesus in our lives? What if this confidence in Him defined our existence in every situation? On Sunday, Steve will be looking into this possibility as we dive into Matthew 10 and the teaching of Jesus.
