Have you ever thought about the way we get childhood and adulthood mixed up? It’s in our nature to be kids when we should be adults and to be adults when we should just be kids. And Jesus tells us to turn and become like children.

Ever been in a storm? —Have you ever been in a storm and wondered how this was going to end?

Today we are gonna take the walls up. As good as a blueprint and a foundation is, it’s also fairly important to build your walls square.

What is the foundation that you are building your life on? What is the foundation that you are building your family on?

The enemy is trying to take your life before you can choose Jesus, or get you to choose to walk away from God.

What is it about the night that makes you question life? Whether we like it or not, our father’s have a lot to do with who we are. For some of us they were a fabulous example, for others they have been a bit of an excuse, but God is inviting us to something more.

What are you really scared of? What is it that will cause you to lose sleep?

Where there is no agreed upon foundation, no agreed upon structure, no agreed upon morality, there will never be any peace.

We are in a time with a growing rate of failing marriages. While there are some that fail due to complex reasons, generally it isn’t that complicated.

We all feel taken advantage of, used, abused, ignored, not valued, or just hurt. It’s embarrassing, humiliating, shameful, and frustrating. We all want the moment that comes around and they get theirs.

Two thieves on the cross—one thief joined with the world and hurled insults, one thief watched and listened and stood against the tide of humanity.

Have you reached that point in life yet? It’s the real world. Out on your own - can’t count on anyone, discovered the world doesn’t orbit around you…

Always in his heart, kind of sounds like David’s relationship to God. As David writes a song of Ascents, of “going up” to church, he includes his feelings about his own relationship to God and likens himself to a child clinging to its mother.

David is looking back because he is in a tight spot. Life is hard, the enemy is big, the wall won’t fall, and he needs God desperately. So he remembers. I hear David saying, “Look how far we have come.”

Everything is possible for he who believes. Do you believe?

I want to encourage you not to be afraid to honestly wrestle with this question–do I believe this stuff?

Don’t you wish you could just get the Lord on the phone? Jesus made it a point to touch, love, and reach out to people that this world rejected.

The most powerful part of the Easter story isn’t that Jesus paid such a horrible price for our sin. The truly amazing part is that God raised him from the dead!

If we truly want to walk with God it is going to mean a few things from us.

Today we continue to look at the passion of the Christ, recognizing that it wasn’t all the cross and the beating he took. It wasn’t just his death that defines his passion; it was you.

What does it take for you to give up on something? What does it take for you to go all in?

Jesus left us parables as warnings, as teachings, and as reminders.

One third of the written accounts of Jesus’ 33 years of life, were dedicated to one week of his existence. Just seven days.

In our lives we will have pain. We were designed to have pain. What are you going to do with it?
