This message is a podcast lecture by Jon Korkidakis for an unrecorded sermon preached on October 14, 2012. In this message we look at a topic that does not rank high on most of our radars when it comes to prayer. We often think of prayer as an intimate conversation between God and us, and rarely think of it as an invitation to a battle.

In this message we look at a King who is faced with an Assyrian invasion. His prayer flies in the face of the evidence around him but teaches us about one of the most important principles about prayer.

There are two great tensions when it comes to prayer and at some point we struggle with both to one degree or another. In today’s message we look at a story that deals with these tensions, at a time when a nation and a king are confronted with a crisis that will test their faith and the power of prayer.

Where did prayer originate? How did it start or why did it start? What prompts us to go to prayer? In this study we look at the lessons we can learn from the earliest mention of prayer in the Bible.

In this message, based on 2 Timothy 1:1-2, we look at what happens when we choose to invest in another person's life.

In the third installment of the series, we learn how God takes our scars and rewrites them into a story of hope and redemption.

The prophet Isaiah predicted that Jesus would suffer terribly and be rejected. In this second message, we continue to look at the message of scars, especially as it relates to the subject of rejection. Based on Isaiah 53:1-3.

Scars - we all bear them in one form or another. In this opening message we learn that every scar tells a story. Though they often shape and define us, they do not have to have the final word.

Hope ... it makes an incredible difference. No matter the circumstances, it can transform those situations in positive ways. In this first message of the Christmas season, we learn that everything about the message of Christmas has been infused with hope. Micah 5:2
