There's so much to say about this goodbye! This week we conclude our series out of 1 Peter, with Ryan looking at Peter's final words as he greets his readers. As a church that recently started gathering in-person again, there's lots of application in there for us.

This week Vic looks at the subject of leadership in the local church: who they are, what they do, and how they ought to do it.

Suffering is the gift...that nobody wants. And yet Peter has returned to this theme time and time again to encourage the church to not only be able to suffer, but suffer with joy.

This week Vic looks at a section that contains a little bit of obscure content. What should we do with verses like that? Don't focus on the obscure at the expense of the clear. And there is a lot that is clear in this passage: Substitutionary atonement and the significance of baptism.

This week Tanya Stander speaks about meekness in light of Jesus being our shepherd and overseer, as well as inner beauty. Vic shares a quick encouragement for husbands as well in terms of leadership in their homes.

This week Ryan Legg looks at 1 Pet 2:22 -25, helping us learn from Jesus when we find ourselves reviled as a result of following Him.

What can we possibly learn from Peter's address to first-century slaves? How can we trust the Bible since it doesn't seem to abolish it at all? We look at slavery, subjection and suffering.

This week we have a special guest: Alan Frow, from Southlands Church in Orange County, California.

Peter touches on the issue of civil obedience. How are we as Christians to submit to both earthly institutions as well as to God's rule in our lives? Especially if they are in conflict with each other? And how are we to endure suffering as a result of our faith in the society we live in?

We are no longer "of this world" now that we've been transferred into God's kingdom. But we are certainly still "in the world" as exiles and sojourners. Why? In order to proclaim Gods' excellencies! That means we are to be both visible and vocal about our faith in Jesus.

This week's sermon is definitely another "come to Jesus" one (as most of them are). But Jesus and the gospel can either be stumbled over or stood upon. Which one will you be?

This week Vic takes us to the end of chapter 1 out of Peter's first letter. Peter gets practical, encouraging his readers to roll up their sleeves in response to the truth that he laid out in verses 1-12.

Mike shared this week about how the Resurrection separates Christianity from every other faith stream. When our faith is anchored in the FACT of the resurrection, we are able to experience Christ in 3 dimensions: the past, the future and the present!
