Send us Fan Mail A few QUICKHITTERS and thoughts on the Ukraine Russia war and then I spend a lot of time arguing that the Mighty Middle needs to call BullCrap, I use another word, on the far right and the far left. As I write this summary I realize all my examples showing the need for calling BullCrap come from the far left. Shame on me. I should have tossed in examples from the far right. In...

Send us Fan Mail This podcast discusses oil, DACA and the Alabama court case on redistricting. It is more fun that it sounds. Try it. https://jonathanturley.org/2022/10/06/dacas-deficiencies-are-severe-federal-appellate-court-rules-against-daca/ https://thefederalist.com/2022/10/06/kanyes-artsy-white-lives-matter-display-invites-people-to-reject-groupthink-and-the-left-hates-it/

Send us Fan Mail QUICKHITTERS, Thoughts on the Chicks song Goodbye Earl, the fading DOJ lawsuit against the Georgia Voting Bill, and a professor who was fired possibly because he expected students to understand the material. https://jonathanturley.org/2022/10/04/jim-eagle-has-landed-a-federal-court-declares-georgia-election-law-entirely-constitutional/ https://www.nytimes.com/2022/10/03/us/nyu-org...

Send us Fan Mail Let us all reject ideas to censor free speech. I say that in response to a UN speech by the New Zealand Prime Minister and the related essay by Jonathan Turley on the subject. Send us Fan Mail Today is an example of the eclectic nature of this podcast. After listing the QUICKHITTERS, I opine on Stacey Abrams dubious comments that a fetus does not have a heartbeat at 6 weeks and that the beating sound is manufactured, explore the thought that the demand for racism exceeds the supply of racism, and call out fact checkers using Biden’s false claim that bullet velocities...

Send us Fan Mail Please celebrate with me achieving 100 podcast episodes. It has been a journey. One that will continue. Mostly today I make my predictions on the midterm elections both if things continue as they are AND if Russia and Ukraine make a deal. I’m guessing the will make a deal and it will have a dramatic effect on the US midterm elections.

Send us Fan Mail Quite a few QUICKHITTERS today and then I ask if Putin is escalating in Ukraine or is he posturing to deal? He scared me when he said leaders in NATO said nuclear weapons use were a possibility. I also spend a lot of time today on China and Taiwan. https://americanmind.org/features/florida-versus-davos/five-myths-about-china/

Send us Fan Mail The CBO rules that the Reduce Inflation Act won’t Reduce Inflation for 5 years and after that only if the 87,000 new IRS agents are successful at audits. And I spend a lot of time on a Wall Street Journal that basically says elimination of the Senate filibuster would be dangerous. https://thefederalist.com/2022/09/20/cbo-report-democrats-latest-spending-spree-will-make-inflation...

Send us Fan Mail I speculate that Putin will deal on Ukraine after pressure from India and China, critique Biden’s comments on US support for Taiwan if China invades, look at Covid a bit, wander into the immigration debate, and wonder what happened to Presidential fact checking.
September 16, 2022, Edition of Views on the News from the Couch 16.09.2022 8:10
Send us Fan Mail Wow. This episode started out, after the QUICKHITTERS, as a Biden screed. But, towards the end I feel I dialed it back to the moderate Republican zone. The screed part was attacking Biden for inaccuracies on Inflation and immigration and for his awful speech calling Republicans extremists. At the end I pulled the punch a bit. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2022/09/...

Send us Fan Mail Today’s podcast is catchup day after a few days off. I don’t spend enough time on it, but I think interesting things are happening in Ukraine. In more detail I discuss Ranked Choice voting and the scary argument by the Biden administration that they can pay for the student loan bailout because our deficit isn’t quite as sky high as it used to be. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money...

Send us Fan Mail Joe Biden’s speech still sucks and I use words from Lincoln’s Gettysburg address to address the Jackson, MS drinking water issue. Who else could do that?

Send us Fan Mail Today’s podcast covers the following. Ukraine attacking Russian occupied Ukrainian territory and that Ukraine also may be attempting to assassinate Russian leaders and sympathizers.
