The two main ways to avoid burnout are by feeding on God's word and consistently being touched by the fire of God.

The anointing is the presence and power of God that is tangible and transferrable.

"But, as it is written, 'What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him'— these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit."  1 Corinthians 2:9-10 We must position ourselves to receive revelation from the Holy Spirit and see the wonderful things that God has prepared for us.

"And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you." 1 Peter 5:10

"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing." John 6:63 "Your health shall spring forth speedily." Isaiah 58:8

Prayer and fasting is a weapon that God has given us to access spiritual power and lay hold of the things He has promised us. Daniel chapter 10 shows how fasting and prayer can break though any resistance that is blocking your answer.

"For as these qualities are yours and increasingly abound in you, they will keep you from being idle or unfruitful...Because of this, brethren, be all the more solicitous and eager to make sure (to ratify, to strengthen, to make steadfast) your calling and election; for if you do this, you will never stumble or fall."  2 Peter 1:8,10

How to position yourself to have an encounter with God, and once you have had that encounter, practically how to sustain the touch of God on your life.

"Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt." Amos 9:13

Paul encouraged believers in the book of Jude to "earnestly contend for the faith that was entrusted to God’s holy people" (v.3). Faith is a substance that is generated in our spirit when we receive revelation of the word of God. We must vigilantly guard every revelation to ensure nothing will contaminate our faith.

Practical Tips on How to be Directed by the Inward Witness: -Follow the desires of your heart. -Notice the thoughts that rise up from your spirit. -Pray and believe that your steps are ordered by the Lord. -Pay attention to visions and dreams at night.

3 of the 9 gifts of the Spirit are categorized as "revelation gifts." They are the discerning of spirits, the word of knowledge, and the word of wisdom.

James 3:8 says, "The human tongue can be tamed by no man." This is why God sent the Holy Ghost to tame the human tongue through the prayer language--speaking in tongues. Praying in tongues is what will steer your life into the glory of God and the gifts of the Spirit.
