Look Up For those in Jesus, we won't be surprised that Jesus is coming back. That truth changes the way we live today in joy-filled anticipation.

Grief and Hope Paul wants the Thessalonians to know that for those who are in Christ, death does not have the final word.  Jesus is coming back.

More and More Spiritual growth is an ongoing journey that begins with the Lordship of Christ in our lives. This applies to every area of our life, especially our sexuality. As we walk with the Spirit, we will grow in purity, holiness and love, reflecting more and more the character and nature of Christ.

"Wanted" Luke shows us that Jesus is like no other: He comes with a message that the Kingdom of God is here and available for us to enjoy, but not in ways that we might think.

The Point of Paul's Letter Paul’s threefold prayer for the Thessalonians is that they would love one another, grow in holiness, and keep their eyes set on the future return of Jesus.

The "Good" News To Paul’s relief, Timothy gave a good report! The faith of the Thessalonians brought about comfort and joy to Paul and others around them.

The "Bad" News Paul explains to the Thessalonians why he sent Timothy and his concern about their response to suffering for the Gospel. We experience encouragement when we engage in authentic Christian community during our moments of suffering.

The Word of God The Word of God changes us. The Thessalonians received the word of God as God’s Word. This transformed them into co-sufferers with Christ.

Living As Proof Paul gently reminds the Thessalonians that opposition to the Gospel is expected, but did not stop Paul & Silas from preaching the Gospel. Their motive was pure, their method was proven, and the message was received as they modeled Christ.

Getting the Gospel Paul expresses his deep gratitude to God for the Thessalonians and reminds them of the Gospel they received to encourage them to keep going.

Welcome to Thessalonica The start of 1 Thessalonians shows us God using His people to build His Church, and for that He deserves all of the glory.

Praise God Forever Paul concludes his passionate, insightful, and hope-inducing letter by making it indisputably clear that God deserves all the credit, praise, recognition, all the glory for our joy-filled relationship with him. 

The Mission Of God Paul tells us of his extensive travel plans, his motive in traveling approximately 3200 miles, to encourage and be encouraged to live on Mission for Jesus.

Encouragement From Paul As Paul begins his wrap-up of Romans, he tells the Roman church the HOW of God’s work in His own life and WHAT is next for them as a Church SENT with the hope of the Gospel, wherever they go, live, work and play.

People of Hope As Paul ends the body of this letter, he summarizes in a brief prayer the essence of the experience of every true follower of Jesus- We are people who are full and overflowing with HOPE. God provides us substantial, lasting, life-transforming hope because He is the promised hope that gives us a promised hope.

Love One Another Hope expressed in authentic Christian love is absolutely stunning. Paul wants us to understand that those of us loved by God are people who endure and encourage, and that produces hope.

Promoting Peace Paul is making it clear, loving other believers is the overwhelming value and expression that flows from our experience of being loved by God. In today’s text, Paul shows us precisely how God’s love is lived out through us.

Don't Sweat the Small Stuff Paul insists that we welcome and warmly embrace brothers and sisters whose expressions of faith might be radically different from our own. In doing so, we maintain unity in the body of Christ and glorify God through our relationships with each other.

Easter Easter is the Good News of a GREAT REDEMPTION. Easter means second chances are available and there is no better example of this than the way that Jesus pursues Peter, which is good news for us too!

Palm Sunday Jesus expectantly comes not to fulfill our expectations, but to meet our deepest needs. He may not be the king we expected but he’s the king we need.

The Sun Has Risen The son has risen, we are in the light. Paul wants to make sure that we live like it. He is concerned that we might be needlessly and foolishly stumbling around in the darkness, unaware that we are still in the darkness when we can and should be enjoying all the advantages that inevitably accompany living in the light.

Owe Only Love Love is the unmistakable, inevitable expression of those who treasure Jesus; those who have experienced the life-giving, life-transforming power of the love of God.

God, Government, and Taxes Flowing directly from Paul’s direction to make sure our LOVE is genuine in our relationships with one another, even extending to our enemies, he now tells us to submit to civil authorities.

Overcoming Evil with Love Evil is overcome by the goodness of God.
