Journalist, activist, philosopher, activist Dahr Jamail gave the key note speech at the Veterans for Peace national conference. He conveyed a message of activism for the sake of doing what is right, being on the right side of history, and being patient but always hopeful. We hear his full speech.

Welcome to the Veterans for Peace radio hour and as promised last week, welcome to part two of our celebration of John Prine, singer, songwriter, philosopher, folk icon and COVID 19 victim.

This is part one of a two part show remembering and celebrating John Prine, singer, song writer, poet, philosopher, icon. He passed away last week from Covid 19. You will hear personal stories from other members of Veterans for Peace as they remember John Prine and of course songs, lots of songs.

In  this two part show we first hear from Tina Meli, Veterans for Peace  member and VA employee who likely contracted covid but while suffering  was unable to get a test. Then we hear from Michelle Shaw, author and  blogger, who describes the un-relenting greed and opportunism of  corporate America.

Tom put together this show with Nashvillian Anne Paine who was arrested as part of Jane Fonda's Fire Drill Friday movement.
