April Freely's work has appeared in Seneca Review, Gulf Coast, New Madrid, and elsewhere. A recipient of an Ohio Arts Council grant, she has also been awarded fellowships from VSC, the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, and the George Kaiser Family Foundation. She served as Writing Coordinator in the Staff-Artist Program in 2016.

Arnie (Tzu-Ying) Hung is a writer from Taiwan. She is the author of two short story collections, Under no sunshine, Practice of undesired, which were published in Taipei. She is writing her new novel, The tip of the branches, with a National Culture and Arts Foundation Grant for Novel Writing & Publishing Project (Taiwan). She lives and works as a screen writer in Taipei with her dog “Nori”.

Mikko Harvey lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts. You can find his poems in places such as Colorado Review, FIELD, Gulf Coast, Kenyon Review, Pleiades, Sixth Finch, West Branch, and Best New Poets. Thanks to an Emerging Artist Fellowship, he spent November 2016 at VSC, where he wrote poems and was happy.

Paige Buffington holds both a BFA and MFA in Creative Writing from the Institute of American Indian Arts. Though her work is primarily poetry, her residency at Vermont Studio Center inspired an interest in lyric essays. She currently lives in Gallup, New Mexico.

Nat Schmookler is a writer from Virginia and New Mexico. His work has received support from Ragdale, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and Hawthornden Castle, among other institutions. He now serves as the Interviews Editor at The Utopian.

Dana Levin was born in Los Angeles, California in 1965 and grew up in the Mojave Desert. She is the author of three books of poetry: In the Surgical Theatre, Wedding Day, and Sky Burial.
