This is a message from our series, "Good Question," where our church voted on the top pressing topics today to discuss. Today's question... Are we living in the last days? Let's talk about it.

This week, we talk about the importance of practicing gratitude and thankfulness in our lives. Are we known for our thankfulness? When we thank God for all of His blessings, it changes our perspective. It shapes the way that we think.

We've all heard the verse "Wives, submit to your husbands..." misused and abused over the years. Many have used that verse to try to dominate and control women. Paul states clearly in Ephesians that husbands are to love their wives as Christ loves the Church. Join us in Ephesians 5:22-33 as we look at what it truly means to live a life of submission to Christ.

There are some things that God asks us to do that can be challenging. For instance... Loving your enemies. Forgiving those who hurt you. What does it look like to live out the Gospel in our everyday lives?

If you don't know how dead you were before Jesus, you'll never fully know how alive you are with Him. That's the theme of Ephesians 2. Let's talk about it.

How do you see yourself? Do you see yourself the way God sees you? Knowing who we are in Christ shapes everything in our lives.

Isaiah 40:31 says... "But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint." Trusting in the Lord positions us to soar high like eagles. The question is this... who am I choosing to trust in? Am hanging with the chickens and buzzards, or am I trusting in Jesus?

In today's culture, we tend to wear "busy" like a badge of honor. At times, life can feel hectic. Maybe even a little chaotic with everything that we have going on. In this message, Brent Phillips shares about the importance of not allowing our "busyness" to get in the way of doing what the body of Christ is called to do.

In Jonah chapter 4, Jonah is angry that God has compassion on the people of Nineveh. Jonah had great theology, but still had a hard heart. How's your heart?

In Jonah Chapter 3, we see that God tells Jonah to go and do the same thing He commanded him to do in Jonah chapter one. To go to Nineveh. What then happens, is one of the greatest revivals in history.

In Jonah Chapter 2, Jonah finds himself in the belly of a great big fish. What does Jonah do? He cries out to God. He prays. When you are in a dark season, who do you run to? Sometimes God will use seasons in our lives to reveal to us that His way is the only way. He is a compassionate Father who is closer than you may know.

In Jonah chapter 1, God asks Jonah to go to Nineveh. What does Jonah do? He runs from what God tells him to do 2,500 miles in the opposite direction. Have you been running from God? Has God called you to do something that seems difficult? No matter how far we try to run from God, we cannot outrun His presence.

The story of Noah is a story of obedience. Noah does all that the Lord commands him to do. Was Noah perfect? Absolutely not. But Noah obeyed the Lord and built an ark to prepare for a flood. Not just any flood. A reset on human history. This is the story of Noah.

In Genesis 3, the serpent shows up on the scene. The enemy to this day still tries to deceive us by planting seeds of doubt, fear, anxiousness and worry in our minds. The question you need to ask is this... Who's whispering in your ear?
