As an Everyday Disciple, are we called to be in God for the world or be in the world for God ? Those can sound the same and the difference might seem to be semantics, but that question asks two very different things. This week we will see what the difference is between the two. Both get you to heaven, sound right, and are difficult, but one of those eventually runs out.

Today we wrap up our Vision Series with a message on creating a legacy of faith.  This isn't just the end of a 3-week series, but rather a launching point for what God is doing within our church family. What does it look like to be changed by really understanding how God sees us? This week in John 9:5-12 we will see the blind man not just receive physical sight, but spiritual sight as well. I want to live seeing the world, others, and most importantly myself the way God sees me! Believing that God sees me and loves me will change me. That is what spiritual sight is all about!

Here we find the certainty of God’s comfort and hope for us revealed in Jesus. Lyle Watson takes us through the account of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead in John 11:1-44.

Every day is filled with instances where we exercise our God-given ability to compare, contrast, and discern differences. But sometimes this ability to discern differences can lead us down a road of self-righteousness and pride.  This same ability can lead us down a road to feelings of insecurity. Lord help us! We have the privilege of living in a community with other followers of Christ. While doing so we can encourage one another and build each other up, but we must be connected to others in the congregation and seek ways to encourage those who are disconnected. 

As followers of Christ we bear with one another, forgiving each other as Christ taught us to do. God has gifted each of us with a unique set of qualities and gifts to help one another follow Jesus. We'll look at Colossians 3:10-17 this week as we continue our series, "One Another"!

Christians are called to walk with one another toward holiness, bearing one another's burdens in times of struggle. How can we look after each other in practical ways as we walk toward holiness? At times, you will need to take the load for another; other times, they will bear the load for you. 

As followers of Christ, how are we to treat those in our church, workplace, or school? What about those in our homes or neighborhoods? We are called to a spirit of humility and service, and are given the privilege to submit to one another. We are called to do so regardless of age, gender, social status, or race, just as Christ loved us and gave himself for us.
