It was another Friday night full of high powered offenses, theatrics and shutouts. Alyssa Orange looks at the top three high school football games that stood out to her, including Bentonville West, Fort Smith Southside and Shiloh, plus Rogers is this week's Everett Chevrolet Team of the Week.

Week 5 of High School football heats up today's episode of Varsity Vibe Today. Alyssa Orange and Brey Cook look ahead to the week's biggest games, including the Game of the Week between Rogers & Fayetteville and the Central Arkansas Spotlight Game of the Week between Little Rock Christian & Bryant

Our Lindsey Girls Athlete of the Week is Cross Country runner Lilly Beshears. She's one of the best runners in the country, and currently committed to run at BYU next season.  We also highlight 6A and 4A Girls Golf State Tournament results, plus our Everett Chevrolet Central Arkansas Spotlight looks at Friday's match-up between Little Rock Christian and Bryant. 

The Mountain Home Bombers have started the 2025 season 4-0, and coming off a win over 6A opponent Ft. Smith Southside. Head Coach Steve Ary and senior Barrett Miller join the show to highlight their early success and to look ahead to their game Friday against Shiloh Christian.  Plus, we highlight some volleyball scores from Tuesday Night.

After leading Parkview with three state championships, Brad Bolding returns as the head coach at North Little Rock, a place he previously coached for 8 seasons. The rebuild is a process, but he's excited to help bring NLR back to a winning culture. Plus, Bentonville's Cole Slepecki is this week's Lindsey Boys Athlete of the Week

The first week of conference action brought a lot of excitement around Arkansas. Three games stood out: Shiloh vs. Greenwood, Ft Smith Southside vs. Mountain Home and Rogers vs Ft. Smith Northside.  Bentonville West is this week's Teamwork Roofing Team of the Week. 

Week 4 brings with it the start to conference play. From match-ups between Fayetteville vs. Bentonville West  and Bentonville vs. Har-Ber in the 7A West to a 6A showdown between Shiloh Christian vs. Greenwood, Alyssa Orange and Brey Cook look ahead to the best games on Friday night.

Bentonville West opens up 7A West action on Friday night against Fayetteville. The Wolverines, led by quarterback Tre' Thompson has started the year 3-0. Head Coach Bryan Pratt and Thompson join the show to preview the match-up. In today's episode of Varsity Vibe Today, Har-Ber head football coach Aaron Danenhauer is set to open up 7A West Conference play against Bentonville, the team he coached as the Offensive Coordinator at for 12 years.  Plus Shiloh Christian's Chloe Blessing is our Lindsey Girls Athlete of the Week. 

The Rogers Mounties head into the start of 7A Conference action with a 3-0 record and an offense that has no problem lighting up the scoreboard. Alyssa Orange catches up with head coach Chad Harbison on his team's hot start to the season, plus Shiloh Christian's Cole Creighton is our Lindsey Boys Athlete of the Week.

With conference action starting this week for most teams around Arkansas, Week 3 of High School football brought competition and excitement. Alyssa Orange highlights the three games that caught her attention from Friday night- Lee's Summit vs Bentonville, Little Rock Southwest vs Ft. Smith Southside and Shiloh Christian vs. Bethany.  We also crown the Benton Panthers our Team of the Week. 

Week Three of high school football brings with it some big time non-conference games before conference play begins next week. Our Game of the Week takes us to Texarkana, and a rematch between Fayetteville and Texas High. A season ago, Texas High came to Fayetteville and defeated the Bulldogs 55-54, erasing a 21-point deficit in their first ever meeting. Now the Bulldogs head down to Texarkana for a Friday night showdown in Week 3. Hear from Casey Dick as he takes his team on the road.  We also give a shout out to high school volleyball score from around the area. 

With an 8-4 start to the season, Bentonville West Volleyball head coach Britney Davis is excited about her squad this year. Hear from Coach Davis on why she believes her team has taken it up a notch.  Plus, this week's Lindsey Girls Athlete of the Week is Bentonville golfer Ella Abbruzzese. 

Noelle and Claire Hammond have played volleyball for as long as they can remember. It's been the constant connection throughout their lives. After putting up 84 points in their win against Sheridan, the Rogers Mounties continue to make a statement three weeks into the 2025 season. They are our Team of the Week.  Plus, Greenwood's Kane Archer is our Lindsey Boys Athlete of the Week after leading the Bulldogs to a 43-42 win over Har-Ber.

After 15 years coaching on the college level, Dom Mirocke is in his first year as the Head Coach at Fort Smith Northside. Coaching High School football is in his blood, and as he looks to build a program that can sustain success he's leaning on his experience to guide him.

Shiloh Christian Head Coach Tucker Barnard is more focused on the process than the results. However the results are speaking for themselves two weeks into the season.
