We are taking this year to go back to the basics and become rooted in Jesus, so we can flourish in life. (Colossians 2:6-7, Ephesians 3:17-20) A tree’s roots draw the nourishment it needs from being rooted in the soil. Our roots draw the truth of God into our lives. The soils represent the ways of God and the roots represent the paths with which we draw God’s ways into our lives.

The love of the Father allows us to flourish and it's not until we choose to receive His love that we fully flourish in life. Love is not meant to be known, it is meant to be experienced.

Jesus came to release the unending favor of God in our lives. Favor is when God supernaturally works on our behalf. He gives us favor so we can be empowered to live like Jesus and release the kingdom everywhere we go. Favor is not the possessions we hold in our hands, it’s the perspective we hold in our hearts.

To live a flourishing life, we must believe we are forgiven and righteous in Jesus. Righteousness means in right standing. We can experience that life when we get rooted in Jesus.

The beginning of a flourishing life is to receive the forgiveness that Jesus offers. Although we have all fallen short and missed the mark, we were made to live in the glory of God. Forgiveness is a choice that God has already made, receiving his forgiveness is a choice that we have to make.

Valley Creek is a movement of Jesus-focused, Spirit-filled, life-giving people. We live a life of restful movement; we rest in Jesus and yet we never stop moving forward with Him.
