Continuing through the sermon of the mount. We are in Matthew 7:1-6 in this message and we will learn the right way to judge.

Preaching over Matthew 5:33-48.

In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus calls his disciples to be an influence in the world. He calls them to be salt and light in the world, so the world will see God's glory and praise Him. Jesus also calls us to be more righteous then the Religious leaders of the day.

We are kicking off our new series "Sermon on the Mount". In this sermon we are looking at the beatitudes. Looking forward to unpacking Jesus sermon for the few months.

God has called us to serve with him. We are to be his hands and feet spreading his message of Salvation and that the Kingdom of God is here and near. This is the last of our series Helping people follow Jesus. Valley Christian Church will Help people follow Jesus by being welcoming, loving and serving with Christ.

Acts 27:21-44 Are we on board for the ride. is your faith in God knowing that this boat in life will crash but with God all will live. 

Even though Paul was physically in prison his freedom was in Christ. This freedom gave Paul the confidence, faith and hope to continue with his ministry.

Paul is wrapping up his Journey to Jerusalem for the last time. As he travels he is warned not to go to Jerusalem and is even told what will happen while he is there. Paul does not turn back but continues to follow God's will.

Paul takes one more trip before heading to Jerusalem were he will be arrested. In this last trip it is a goodbye tour. Giving one last message in person to the churches. In this tour he meets with the Elders of Ephesus. 

Like Paul we should have a heart for those who are lost. Through correctly preaching and reaching those who are not believers we will bring change to our culture.

Acts 17:16-34

Acts 16 Paul has a new team to do ministry. Timothy becomes Paul's new helper and Timothy is a perfect fit to help and take over for Paul in the future. Timothy had a strong foundation because of the mothers in his life and Paul was able to grow Timothy in to a strong leader on top of that foundation.

There must be unity among the two sets of believers. Jews and Gentiles must work together to reach the lost. These lost people are both Jews and Gentiles and the church to not be a hinderance to neither groups to meet Jesus.

Acts 14:21-28 Paul and Barnabas head back through the towns they preached to on their first Mission Trip. They strengthened the new believers faith and set the church up to succeed with leadership and putting them under God's authority.

Back in Acts starting in chapter 13. 1. The Church in Antioch - Acts 13:1-3 2. Paul’s First Journey - Acts 13:4-5 3. Two Responses - Acts 13:6-12

We are going to be jumping to all for Gospels to look at Jesus' Entrance into Jerusalem for Passover. 

There is so much in one chapter. Acts 11 summarizes Peter's interactions with Cornelius. Starting in verse 19 we see that the gospel is not just to god fearing non Jewish but to everyone and Luke shares about them being disciples of Christ through the teachings of the Dream Team (Saul and Barnabas) and how they lived their lives in such away they were called Christians. Saul is hunting down the Way (Jesus' disciples). He has been working in Jerusalem killing and arresting people. He is on his way to Damascus to do the same to Jesus' people but on this Journey he meets Christ who challenges his way of thinking and his faith.
