Utah collegiate players continued to dominate the St. George area tournaments as UVU's Carly Dehlin scores her first UGA individual win with a playoff victory over BYU's Kendra Dalton in the Sun River Ladies Am, while SUU teammates Jake Vincent and Ali Hameed tie for the win and decide not to play it off at the St. George Am.   

Jake Miller is named ED of the Utah Golf Association, taking over for Bill Walker. Former ED Mark Passey dishes some tasty Utah golf history. And highlights from the UGA annual Awards Banquet. 

Utah Senior State Am champ Brett Sampson wins the UGA Senior Men's Player of the Year honors with a consistent season that included low senior at the Utah Mid-Am and low seniors with partner Kirk Siddens at the Utah Four-Ball. You'll enjoy his take on the lost balls that nearly cost him a spot in the Senior State Am. 

UVU Women's Golf Coach and long-time Utah golf stud Sue Nyhus wins her second UGA Senior Women's Player of the Year award in a row. She won the Senior Women's State Am again and was the only senior to make match play in the Women's State Am. You'll enjoy hearing about her best shot of the year and what she's learned recently. 

Tony Finau rides 3 67s to a T32 at the Sony in Hawaii, including a hole-in-one on Saturday. Tristan Mandur of the U wins the Coral Canyon Am, shooting 62 on Saturday, and Patrick Murphy wins the senior division. 

With a completely breathtaking and staggering spank-down victory in the Utah Open, BYU senior Patrick Fishburn wins his second UGA Player of the Year honor in a row. Listen to Patrick's take on the year and why he would add a 2nd driver if he could carry 15 clubs.

Joe Lewis Barrow is retiring as CEO of The First Tee. This son of an American icon is himself a great man who leaves a lasting legacy, one that reaches to Utah in The First Tee of Utah. Former PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem, World Golf Hall of Famer Annika Sorenstam and former Utah Jazz GM Tim Howells join Mr. Barrow in discussing his career and its impact.

Four-time Utah State Am champ Kelsey Chugg wins the USGA US Women's Mid Am in Houston at the historic Champions Golf Club in her first try at the US Mid Am. Zac Blair struggles into the clubhouse for a T55 after making the cut at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba in Mexico, and Dixie State freshman Spencer Wallace wins the Ledges Amateur. 

Tess Blair of South Jordan has a dominant year with 7 UJGA wins, State HS win, and UJGA Player of the Year honors. 

Callaway rep Jon Unger wins the Utah Section PGA Sales Rep of the Year Award, which will now be named after him. 

Willow Creek Head Professional Eric Nielsen wins the Utah Section PGA Professional of the Year, showing excellence in all aspects of being a golf professional. 

Tony Finau finished his strong 2017 with another top-20 and Danny Summerhays made the weekend and picked up needed FedEx points at the Shriners Open in Vagas.

Glendale Head Pro Dave Carter runs a great player development program, especially for college kids and adults. He is the Utah Section PGA Player Development award winner for 2017.

BYU senior Patrick Fishburn leads the #29 Cougars to a 2nd Place finish at the Pacific Invitational.

Tony Finau had a strong first run in a WGC event with a T11, while Zac Blair had a strong Top-20 and Daniel Summerhays struggled at the opposite field Sanderson Farms. 

Darci Olsen has a special way with kids and teaching them the game. She's being honored by her peers for her good work at the course where she grew up. 

East Bay is under threat of development and the discussion has been behind closed doors. Provo City Councilman Kay Van Buren is bringing sunshine to this process, starting with a rally at East Bay so that the public can start to be heard.
