Reese Nielsen wins the Utah Golf Association Golf Club Award for his years of service and leadership to the UGA, and for his expertise in rating courses. Nielsen joins the pod and takes us through the course rating process.

Brigham Gibbs took a jagged path to the top of the senior game in Utah. Amateur.. pro... left the game... amateur... found the game... compete again... win... UGA Senior Player of the Year. Gibbs joins the pod. 

Ryan Kartchner is the kind of guy who is constantly making a difference. From hosting events to coaching high school teams to leading the Utah Section PGA, Ryan gets things done and does it with a smile on his face. For this, he was selected by his colleagues as the Utah Section PGA Professional of the Year. Ryan joins the pod. 

Margaret McDonough has worked for years to make Utah golf better for women players, from making sure the history is preserved to organizing events where history is made. Now the UGA is recognizing McDonough as the UWGA Lady of the Year. McDonough joins the pod. 

It's no accident that the Utah Section PGA has honored Corey Badger of Golf Lab as the Teacher of the Year... A-G-A-I-N. Corey's way of combining an old-school eye with modern analysis techniques has placed him firmly in the top tier of his craft. Corey joins the pod to talk swing philosophy, teaching approach, his career and this game we all love. 

Mitchell Schow may seem like a surprising pick as the UGA Player of the Year, but not if you were paying attention. Schow isn't flashy, in either playing style or personality, but he was consistently excellent throughout the year and even found a way to use his other passion, fishing, to focus his golf talents on winning. Schow joins the pod to talk about this award-winning year. 

Chip Wesley is the Head Pro at TopGolf. Yup, TopGolf. Chip is helping TopGolf break new ground in taking the game to new audiences and developing new players, and everybody's having fun along the way. Chip joins the pod to talk about what he's doing at TopGolf and his thoughts on being named the Utah Section PGA Player Development Pro of the Year.

Cove View Head Professional Todd Mullen has built a junior program that reaches beyond the golf course to improve his community of Richfield. Mullen joins the pod to discuss what he's doing and his thoughts on being named the Junior Development Professional of the Year by the Utah Section PGA. 

Carley Dehlin-Hirsch was raised in a family of Utah golf royalty but didn't take up the game until after a successful run in youth soccer. In five short years, she has emerged as an elite college and amateur player and wins this year's UGA Women's Player of the Year. Carly and her coach, UGA Senior Women's Player of the Year and UVU Head Golf Coach Sue Nyhus, join the pod. 

Zach Johnson of Davis Park did it all this year. Local pro tournaments... national pro tournaments... play in the PGA Championship... win the Utah Section Player of the Year. Zach and his friend and colleague Taylor Laybourne join the pod to discuss it all. 

Utah Valley University Women's Head Golf Coach Dr. Sue Nyhus wins her third UGA Women's Senior Player of the Year award and fourth in the past five years. This year saw Sue capture another Senior Women's Am title and qualify for the USGA Mid Am among other accomplishments. Sue joins the pod to discuss how this year was different and special for her. 

Pete Stone wears many hats in his job as Valley View Assistant Pro and does it all with excellence. This former Utah Open winner is a champion of junior golf and a vital part of keeping one of Utah's busiest course's men's and women's associations and open play on track. Pete joins the pod to talk about being honored as the Utah Section PGA Assistant Pro of the Year. 

Tony Finau and the Tony Finau Foundation are trying to give Utah kids the kind of experiences in golf that Tony had growing up. With contributions of $2,500 each to The First Tee of Utah, Utah Section PGA Junior Golf, the Utah Junior Golf Foundation, and US Kids Golf Tony and the Foundation are working make a difference in the lives of Utah kids. Tony and his father Kelepi Finau join the pod. 

Hack & Baggins join Paul from the PGA TOUR Superstore on State Street in Sandy to talk about what you're talking about from the weekend in golf. This week we're asking if Tony needs to focus more on winning and if the TOUR can do more and better with the "Playoffs."
