Introducing 'Wildflower', a vibrant fusion of sounds created by the dynamic duo, Blossum and Bertram Kvist. This electrifying collaboration blends jazzy, playful saxophone and flute melodies with synthetic soundscapes, painting a musical picture of the harmonious balance between humanity and nature. With influences ranging from jazz, funk, electronica, and hip-hop, 'Wildflower' pays homage to the...

Here's a long overdue collab with Mecca:83 who brought us a wonderful track for our Sounds of Nature series! Mecca:83's studio overlooks fields so it's only natural that his track titles end up reflecting times and seasons in nature. Morning Mists was created on a suitably dewy morning, just as the sun was rising. Giving the track a sense of awakening, and the feeling of a great day starting. The...

Here's the second single from the upcoming EP by Lofty & jaackson! New Again is a song that was created to innovate on something familiar. Drawing equally from jazz, funk and hip hop, this lofi groove incorporates heavy syncopation, a melodic bassline, sprawling piano chords and lush synth pads. New Again echoes many of the artist's inspirations, including Parliament/Funkadelic, J Dilla and Robert...

As the last piece of the puzzle, the cherry on top if you want, this last track is the instrumental version of Moo Latte's remix of the original track "Go" from Shatter Hands’ latest album. As this incredible track wasn’t part of the album, we still wanted to provide it for you. Moo Latte completely reworked the original melody and the instrumental version certainly stands tall on its own, even wi...

The Jazzhop producers KaspaHauser from Nuremberg and Gas Lab from Buenos Aires are coming along with their new single "River Way", a beautiful abstract and catchy tune that morphes arround an organic synthpad and some well laid offbeat drums added by a superb flowing fretless bass and a classic moog lead. Perfect fit for playlists like lofi beats, Mellow Beats, Jazztronica or Jazz Vibes.

To continue with our "Sounds of Nature" series, here's a beautiful contrasted and nuanced track by the Danish producer and instrumentalist Axian. Canopy is a jazzy track that is inspired by scenic views in nature and a mental state of bliss. Its laidback vibe gives you a feeling of relaxation while the uplifting composition stimulates your motivation. The track features mellow guitar playing, soot...

With this production influenced by upbeat lofi, Lofty & jaackson hoped to embody this feeling of being on the brink of a new discovery or a breakthrough, hence the name "dew point." The track prominently features jazz piano and bass grooves, with guitar drones and synthesizers shining overtop a driving beat. It's also the intro to their upcoming EP together in March 2023. The EP will follow the co...

Alive on Arrival is the new album by Danish producer Shatter Hands. The album was made over the course of 2022 when Johan got together in intervals with a few of his musician friends to collaborate in its creation. Each track was a specific shared moment between the artists and has a special meaning. While inspired by Electronica, Jazz and House music the foundations of the album are built with ne...

On this new flip the three musicians got together and recorded a track reminiscent of 70’s funk. Groovy guitar riffs and lush keys paired with tastefully executed drums are driving the track forward and immerse the listener into a sunny and relaxed atmosphere. A perfect track for positive introspection or enjoying a nice sunset. https://soundcloud.com/axiannn

The newest track by invention_ "Oxygenate" is inspired by taking it easy, and not over judging creative output. This track reminds the listener to stop and take a deep breath. A bit in the style of a video game soundtrack, invention_ successfully captures the sound of the "feel good" vibe in a simple but efficient song. Probably the perfect music for walking outside in nature and let go of all str...

Hope Song is the perfect song to introduce my new album. Endless Era is the collection of music I wrote in the last part of the pandemic, it was a true and honest moment of creating music, specially with my friends Telemakus and Ted Taforo, we’ve been collaborating and sharing music for the last 3 years, and the process was so natural and fluid. Mainly because we think the same way when it comes t...

Here's a rework of Hen’s Teeth by Bluestaeb, a really nice spin on the original. This version is very different though, offering a new perspective on the sound. With a different tempo and time signature making it another genre entirely. Bluestaeb added his own expertise and style on the track and made a version that is both unique and fresh. This version is for everyone that likes to let go on the...

Urban Waves present “Hen’s Teeth” the third single taken out of the upcoming album release by Shatter Hands. We’ve been fans of Yellow Spoon for a while, their sparse instrumentation and their approach towards their unique sound is absolutely amazing. The duo consists of Christoffer Holm Clausen on bass, keys and synth and Rasmus Riis Sitarz on drums and percussion. For this song Shatter Hands got...

Stan Forebee is returning with a beautiful track titled “Low Tide” that is part of our new series “Sounds of Nature”. He wrote this one in between Melbourne lockdowns when he felt at a low point of inspiration and isolated from his inner essence and nature, hence the title “Low Tide”. As he tried to put those feelings into the melody of the song, the sound of waves resembles longing back to his fa...

Urban Waves is happy to present KaspaHauser to the label's roster and as the first entry in our new single series. This time around the theme is "Sound of Nature" the series will feature new and returning artists that will take the concept and work on tracks with Nature as the main source of inspiration! With this new song titled “Rain Dance”, the Jazz head KaspaHauser creates a soothing atmospher...

Inspired directly by the master Joe Zawinul, the song is a composition dedicated to his music and legacy. We tried to capture the feeling of the legendary band “Weather Report” with background analogue pads along with Chino’s fretless bass melody that feels almost lyrical and the frenetic passages by Ted Taforo’s tenor saxophone heavily influenced by African music. While the whole song is supporte...

Urban Waves present “A Klinkvort Orange” the second single taken out of the upcoming album release by Shatter Hands. The track was made in Oslo with Oddbjørn during dark winter times and is meant as an upbeat escape from snow and cold weather to a warm place where you can let loose and dance. Oddbjørn is a drummer and producer so there is a lot of percussive elements to the track which is also a p...

Here's the second single out of the upcoming album "Endless Era" by Chino Corvalán! Vuelve is a melodic and intense passage inspired by Meloza, an old composition by the same duo. It is one of the pillars of the upcoming Album by Chino Corvalán "Endless Era". The textures and deepness of Telemakus keys combined with the melodic fretless bass and drums by Chino will make your soul fly into the sky!...
