The killing of a human rights lawyer, his client and a driver has caused outrageous protests in Kenya. Hundreds of disgruntled Kenyans took to the streets with placards expressing their shock towards the killings. Three police officers have since been arrested in connection with the murder. The South African economy shed fifteen-thousand jobs in the first quarter of 2016. This is according to the Stats SA's quarterly employment survey, which shows that the jobs were lost across all sectors of the economy. The Independent Electoral Commission in the North West is again going to begin a process to verify addresses for voters in the Tlokwe and Ventersdorp municipalities. More than three hundred people have been left homeless as the fire burnt to the ground shacks at Sea Cow Lake in Durban in KwaZulu Natal. Emergency officials say most people have suffered smoke inhalation and rushed to hospitals. The cause of the fire is still unknown. Nhlanhla Nxele reports.
