A 41 year old Limpopo woman has given birth to siamese twins at Jane Furse hospital. The baby girls and their mother have been trasferred to Mankweng hospital. The twins are conjoined on the chest and abdomen. We spoke to  Limpopo Health MEC Dr Phophi Ramathuba.

Deputy Minister in the Presidency in charge of State Security, Zizi Kodwa is today conducting an impromptu inspection at the Maseru border post. Kodwa is meeting with his Lesoto counterpart as well as other stakeholders including  border officials, Home Affairs officials, SAPS and SARS officials.

The Democratic Alliance has suggested that foreign embassies in South Africa must foot the bill for the treatment patients from their countries. This comes after a video depicting pregnant women sleeping on the floor at the Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital in Johannesburg, was widely circulated on social media. We spoke to DA's Gauteng health spokesperson, Jack Bloom. 

EFF supporters have gathered in an open field near Kayamandi township in Stellenbosch in support of the expropriation of land without compensation. They claim billionaire, Johann Rupert, is guilty of land dispossession as one of descendants of colonial settlers. The Roodepoort Magistrate's Court has granted the Operation Dudula leader Nhlanhla Lux Dlamini a R1 500 bail.  Dlamini is facing charges of house breaking, theft and malicious damage to property. On Wednesday last week, an elderly man laid charges of breaking and entering, intimidation as well as assault against Dlamini at the Dobsonville police station, in Soweto.

Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula has told the Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA) that Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) had three thousand ghost workers in December 2021. Eskom says an incident at Koeberg nuclear power station where a technician onsite accidentally cut a wrong valve had no impact on the running unit. Farmers near the Meul River in the Free State, have moved their livestock away from the river following a massive diesel spillage. The Meul River  was contaminated after a diesel spill when a Transnet pipeline was tampered with and fuel stolen.
