Residents of Richmond in the Northern Cape are holding a March at the local magistrate's court following the brutal rape and murder of an 82-year-old woman in the town over the weekend. The victim was found in her home and two people have been brought in for questioning. Sakina Kamwendo spoe to the victim's Grand-daughter, Thembisa Mkontwana.

Wage negotiations between Transnet and unions are still ongoing.  Transport union SATAWU has dismissed news reports over the weekend that the union consulted  and tried to persuade its members to  consider the recent offer by Transnet of 6%.  SATAWU says the strike is still on. Five suspects arrested in connection with the murder of nine people in Kariega  in the Eastern Cape last week appeared in KwaNobuhle Magistrate Court today.
