living to thrive, not survive 15.06.2023 22:06
what does that look like? so many things. Surviving can look like living paycheck to paycheck or struggling to get up in the morning. Thriving can look like breaking bad habits or moving out of your hometown. Listen more on this episode<3
practicing peace 07.06.2023 18:39
Growing up in a chaotic household I had to find pockets of peace, whether within nature or venting to my journal to escape from all that was going on. As I'm growing into this new version of myself, I've prioritized my peace more than ever. Life will hit you with so many unexpected things you can prepare for which can get overwhelming which is when you begin to realize how important it is...
life as a flight attendant pt.1 02.06.2023 26:16
where to begin...I feel like I've been on the go since I graduated college. I literally had a 2am flight after graduation and got 3 hours of sleep. Apart from the lack of sleep, the layovers are worth it. I love meeting new people and being able to go to a new environment. I really feel like I'm living in my manifestations and I'm so proud of how far I've come in life. But like the...
body dysmorphia 26.05.2023 21:02
Growing up I didn't know what body dysmorphia was until one of my favorite Youtubers talked about their story. I feel like my bad eating habits were influenced by the people I hung around with and society's beauty standards. Living in a household where talking about someone's weight was considered small talk was also toxic. I knew it was getting bad when I forgot the last time I ate, l...
graduating college as a first generation college student 19.05.2023 15:11
Now what? Is what I've been asking myself lately. I mean I feel so relieved to be done doing homework for everrrrrr!!! But I'm also so grateful to have the opportunity to attend college. If it weren't for my mom's sacrifices, I would still be in the Philippines and I'd be lucky if I graduated high school, knowing we couldn't have afforded to go to college. I did all of this...
why I "dress up" 05.05.2023 19:02
Growing up people always had something to say, from teachers to classmates to co-workers. Most were good compliments, but others were projecting. I was told to cover up a lot, and moving from a warm climate with sandy beaches to Minnesota at a young age was a difficult adjustment. I was slut shammed by people who never really understood why I "dress up".
temptations 28.04.2023 13:22

burnout pt.1 07.04.2023 26:59
We all have experienced burnout, without even realizing we are burnt out until we reflect back on it. It can last for weeks, even months. My first year of college was when I really experienced the heaviness of being burnt out. I developed unhealthy habits like going to bed late because my mind was still active from the day, eating one meal a day, and consuming bad things. My body was hurting a lot...
social media cleanse 31.03.2023 12:54
I think it's important to cleanse your socials once in a while. I do it because I follow too many accounts that rarely post anymore or I don't find interesting anymore. I like to keep my circle small so I even switched my tik tok account to private because weird old men were doing old weird men shit.
energy vampires 25.03.2023 16:19
I have been surrounded by energy vampires and even live(d) with one. It's so exhausting to be around people who don't reciprocate the same energy back and I really want to be surrounded by people who empower me. It's not easy, but they've pushed me to effectively communicate the boundaries they continue to cross and stand my ground. I'm too grown to be tolerating this.
My Ideal Lover 18.03.2023 15:54
Maybe my person is on another planet called kai or maybe they're waiting on the other side of the world eating an orange, who knows? But I do know what I want in a partner. I require a love that is difficult to find in this generation. I think that most people are too caught up in different things they forget to forge genuine human connections with strangers they meet. People forget how to sha...
alone but not lonely 02.03.2023 15:11
People would usually think that being lonely is a bad thing. In reality, being alone allows you to find yourself and get to know yourself a little bit more. If your anxiety makes it difficult for you to do simple things like go to the grocery store or eat out alone, then that's a sign for you to take care of yourself. Isolating yourself for a little bit until you're comfortable doing things alone...
Spring Break in Miami 02.03.2023 30:00
What a memorable weekend filled with lots of new friends we met in the streets and on the beach. My favorite place to go was this garden/museum near the beach, which was such a surreal experience. One of the most dangerous things we did was probably hop in a car with two strangers we met at a party to go to south Miami beach at 3am....but we lived to tell the tale. Listen to this episode to see wh...

camping alone for the first time 03.02.2023 24:22
The first time I camped alone was when I was 17. I didn’t know how to start a fire and ended up using a bag of family-sized Doritos to keep my fire alive. I was going through it at the time and needed to change my surroundings so I told my mom I was camping the day before I left. It was such a wholesome experience of freedom at a young age and allowing myself to deal with my internal issues in a h...
Aspirations 21.01.2023 26:06
If you follow me on Instagram, you saw the question I asked: " What do you want to be when you grow up?" Reading the feedback was really refreshing. It made me look back on what my aspirations were and currently are. From a young age I've always wanted to model but that went out the window when I found out you had to be tall and skinny to walk the runway. From then my aspirations jumped from journ...
conversations 07.01.2023 23:11
Everywhere I go, I'm always creating conversations. I really enjoy talking to people and hearing their stories. In 9th grade, I wanted to be a journalist, so I could travel the world to cover different stories. I currently work at a company where I get to meet so many different people with different cultural backgrounds, and different careers that make my job enjoyable (sometimes). The best conve...
holiday expectations 25.12.2022 8:40
These past few years, the holidays have been difficult to feel genuinely happy. My guilt takes over when I feel happy because I have family in the Philippines that I always keep in mind, who could use half the stuff I have. Especially during Christmas, I love gifts but I feel guilty receiving them, knowing family back home could use them more than me. The expectations of the holidays to be happy c...
New Years Resolutions and the pressure of improvement 23.12.2022 33:35
Change will come when it needs to and New Years resolutions can be difficult to follow because it requires self-discipline and consistency. Instead of making a list of goals, I feel like we need to focus on reflecting back on what the year taught us, what we gained/lost and how we can use that insight into the new year. As always salamat
