Unraveled & Unwritten
I don't know about you, but I feel like more often than not, I'm coming unraveled. Which is funny because while I do feel like I'm coming unraveled, I also feel like I'm so tightly wound up it's a wonder I can even move. AND, even though I'm in a state of unraveling, I apparently like to make things more challenging for myself and question LOTS of things. All these stories people have told me, stuff I've been telling myself...I can't NOT try to unravel those. So it's like there is unraveling happening all over the place and I'm standing in the middle of the chaos trying to keep my composure wh...

Bite-Size Edition: The One Where She Riffs About "Being Social" on Social Media 22.03.2022 20:51
I mean - can you imagine? Being social on social media???!! Who'd have thunk it, right? I feel like many of us go on social media to connect with others - but how many of us actually DO that? How many of us scroll and "observe" versus actually engage with others? I don't know why this is, but I DO think it's interesting. What makes us decide to "Double Tap" or Comment versus just scrolling and cho...
Bite-Size Edition: The One Where She Talks About Following Your Signs 18.03.2022 16:43
Do you believe in signs? I do. I have been following some signs that I've been receiving for the past two years, and it's resulted in a HUGE change for me and my family. While on a walk one evening, I started piecing things together and began tripping out and wondered how I didn't see the connection before. But it doesn't matter - because I do now. And you know - all that stuff that lights us up,...
Bite-Size Edition: The One Where She Riffs About Prioritizing YOU 16.03.2022 17:23
How often do you put yourself first? Like, ahead of your To-Do lists, the day job, your partner, your kids, family, etc.? Annnnd...how often do you put yourself last? Or if not totally last, you seem to always land pretty freakin' low on that totem pole? When we consistently rank ourselves low on our own priority lists, what are we telling ourselves? That maybe we don't matter as much as... The da...
Bite-Size Edition: The One Where She Riffs About Our Minds Blowing Her Mind 11.03.2022 20:25
Do you ever stop to ponder just how amazing our mind is? I mean think about it - think about all the stuff our bodies do without us even giving anything a second thought! It's mind-blowing, right? Our minds not only keep our bodies functioning, but they're also slick little suckers who do what they have to do to protect us. Or what they THINK they need to do to protect us. And sometimes that helps...
Episode 36: The One Where She Talks About "The Sidewalk Chalk Incident" 08.03.2022 55:34
You know sidewalk chalk, right? Yes, I'm talking about the stuff you had as a kid, that you used to draw hopscotch squares on the sidewalk in front of your house, or rainbows and hearts as an inspirational message to others. Well, one day I decided to spread love and cheer using sidewalk chalk, and for some reason I thought that writing a message in a parking lot was a great idea. And it was - unt...
Bite-Size Edition: The One Where She Talks About Wheelz From "AGT: Extreme" 05.03.2022 18:45
Have you watched that new version of “America’s Got Talent?” The “Extreme” edition? It’s pretty impressive. I watched the premiere a couple of weeks ago and there was this guy, Wheelz, who totally moved and inspired me. Wheelz is “challenge accepted” personified. What he did in his performance was nothing short of amazing. And as I sat there and watched him, I thought about what he was showing peo...
Bite-Size Edition: The One Where She Riffs About Being Curious 02.03.2022 10:05
You know how in "Alice in Wonderland" it's her curiosity that sends her down the rabbit hole? Well, I kind of dig that. Because I'm all about being curious. Towards ourselves and others. I believe curiosity is the first step in understanding ourselves. And it takes courage to BE curious with ourselves. Because when we DO go down that rabbit hole...we may be faced with things that aren't so pleasan...
Bite-Size Edition: The One Where She Talks About Ukraine & Feeling Your Feelings 25.02.2022 16:43
How are you doing? The past couple of days have been pretty intense and heavy with everything going on in Ukraine. And even if you don't know anyone who lives in the area, it's pretty much impossible to NOT be feeling something when you see so many innocent people impacted by one person's decision. I believe actions like these go far deeper than someone just being "an as*hole." I believe that many...
Episode 32: The One Where She Talks About The Narcissistic Ex 22.02.2022 2:17:56
Have you ever been in a relationship with a toxic narcissist? It's not fun. And honestly - that's putting it mildly. Like, really mildly. The mind-f*cking that toxic narcissists engage in as part of their natural state of "being" is pretty insane. I was in a relationship with a toxic narcissist over a decade ago but didn't realize that's what it even was until years later. But I also realized that...
Bite-Size Edition: The One Where She Riffs About Self-Love 18.02.2022 17:26
How is your relationship with yourself? Do you love you? Do you like you? Do you believe you're whole and complete without someone else "completing you?" I love Jerry Maguire. And I love that end scene - where Jerry tells Dorothy "you complete me." It's romantic AF. I get that. But who are we without completing someone else, and/or who are we without someone else completing US? Do you know who you...
Episode 30: The One Where She Talks About Feeling Like A "Bad Mom" 15.02.2022 57:03
Are you a Mom? Have you ever felt like a "Bad Mom?" Kind of like the "Bad Moms" Mila Kunis had behind her in that movie (that I love, by the way). Where you feel like you're doing MORE than enough at times, but also...NOT enough at times. And when those moments of "not enough-ness" hit - what does that really mean? I had a "Bad Mom" experience recently and let me tell you - it wasn't full of groce...
Episode 29: The One Where Talks About V-Day & Sprinkles Of Love 12.02.2022 18:54
How do you feel about Valentine's Day? Do you love it? Hate it? Or are your feelings somewhere in between? I feel you. Believe me. But what if we simply saw Valentine’s Day as a day to put more love and kindness out into the world? Consider that your Call To Action: Yes, absolutely take this opportunity to let those you love know you love them. But also…maybe sprinkle some of that love in a place...
Episode 28: The One Where She Talks About Grace, Space & Compassion 08.02.2022 40:16
Have you ever said something that you've regretted? I don't mean like a secret that you accidentally spilled...but like, something kinda bad...something that if you were a celeb...could get you "cancelled?" In this episode, I talk about what I see happening in our world. I feel like so many of us are quick to judge and condemn people without giving them an opportunity to reflect, learn and grow. N...
Bite-Size Edition: The One Where She Talks About Her Magical Weekend Getaway 04.02.2022 29:29
What's your take on magic? Do you think it's having a Fairy Godmother appear out of nowhere, give you the most epic dress and transform your POS car into a "sweet ride?" Or maybe some vibrantly-colored genie popping out of a lamp and granting you 3 wishes? That would be awesome, don't get me wrong. But here's the thing - we're actually surrounded by magic ALL THE TIME. I know - crazy right? But if...
Episode 26: The One Where She Talks About That Whole "Mean Girl" Vibe 01.02.2022 43:11
How have your relationships been with women in your life? Friends and family? Has it been a love-fest? Or more of a "Mean Girls" vibe? Or maybe a little of both? In this episode, I share my experiences with my female family and friends, and how those relationships and how I felt/feel about them evolved into my desire to create a "High Vibe Tribe." I believe the world benefits when we have women en...
Bite-Size Edition: The One Where She Riffs About Love & Connection 28.01.2022 15:54
What kind of world do you want to live in? Do you want to live in a world that focuses on love and connection? And if your answer is yes, do you feel like you're acting in a way that is consistent with that? Trust me, I get it - we all have bad days and momentary "lapses of love." But love as a natural part of our day-to-day is SO important. I saw a video on Instagram that moved me to tears. OK no...
Episode 24: The One With Her Slightly Terrible, Not So Good, Kinda Crappy Day 25.01.2022 59:35
Do you remember that Daniel Powter song? "Bad Day?" They played it at the end of "American Idol" when the contestants got voted off the show. And when I think about it, I get the song choice - but I can't help but feel that song may have made people feel even crappier as they bid everyone farewell. OK - that's not what this episode is about. This episode is about all these weird things I was feeli...
Bite-Size Edition: The One With Her "Mission Statement" 22.01.2022 24:26
So...this recording was never intended to be a podcast episode. I was recording a voice memo to myself, about six weeks ago on my phone, about what "Awaken The Extraordinary" is to me, and what I want it to be for others...and it ended up being 15 minutes long. (As you likely know by now - I can talk!) In sharing this story with my husband, I told him it reminded me of "Jerry Maguire" and that who...
Episode 22: The One With The Great Social Media Crash of 2021 18.01.2022 59:27
How much time do you spend on social media, or watching the news? How do you feel afterwards? There's A LOT going on in our world, and we're consuming A LOT that doesn't make us feel good. And what we consume isn't just about what we eat - it's about the information and energy we allow into our space, what we read, what we listen to, who we spend time with. The day that social media crashed freake...
Bite-Size Edition: The One Where She Riffs About Value & Worth 14.01.2022 18:00
Do you ever look at something and go "No freakin' way - I wouldn't pay that for THIS!" Yeah, me too. So anyway, there's this Hallmark actor I follow on Instagram, who has his own jewelry line, stuff he makes by hand! He posted a video on his account that was essentially a "Love Letter" to those who questioned the cost of his product. I thought it was genius. So onto my soapbox I climbed. I am so p...
Episode 20: The One Where She Talks About Seeking To Understand 10.01.2022 56:26
How do you know when you're taking inspired action? For me, it's when my heart races, when I believe God is knocking on my heart and perhaps in His best Adele voice saying "Hello from the other side." That happened to me right before I recorded this episode. I had plans to record an episode about women supporting other women, but then a thought popped into my head, a tapping on my heart was felt.....
Bite-Size Edition: The One Where She Talks Life Lessons At The Playground 07.01.2022 18:29
On a scale of 1 - 10, where does your level of self-worth rate? And why? I don't see my son interact with other children much. He's an only child, and the friends of mine who have kids 1. I never actually see (even if we do live 10 minutes from each other) and/or 2. Their kids are much older. So when I do things with my son, like go the playground, I pay attention to him and how he interacts with...
Episode 18: The One With Her 2021 "Year in Review" 04.01.2022 1:04:54
Happy 2022 Friends! So tell me - do you sit and truly reflect on the previous year when you're heading out to a party, or maybe deciding which pajamas to wear to the living room? Or do you just think "Yeah, it sucked and there are some things I wish had gone differently, but there's always next year!" And then to add insult to injury, especially these last couple of years, think "Well, this year w...
Bite-Size Edition: The One Where She Talks About The Story Behind "Rudolph" 25.12.2021 6:53
Merry Christmas Friends! As promised, here's a special holiday message and the story BEHIND the story of "Rudolph!" I hope you enjoy, and have a wonderful, magical day!
Bite-Size Edition: The One Where She Gets Kinda Deep About "Rudolph" 24.12.2021 23:18
So I promised you an episode about "Rudolph" - and I had to follow through. Yes, I am talking about the "Rudolph" show that many of us watched as children back in the day, the same special that airs now, that many of us probably force our kids to watch (or is it just me?) under the guise of US really wanting to watch it and re-live some of that childhood nostalgia. As a kid, I got that Rudolph was...
