Unless The Lord

I now have three adult children and am watching them do some amazing things, but it is not without bumps and bruises.  I worry about them a lot, what does Psalm 127 have to say about that?  A lot as well, Unless the Lord is busy in how we raise our adult children, we will not get it right.

Are we seeing the start of World War III? I don’t think so, but what if we are? What should our response be? Fear? Anger? Overconfidence? Psalm 127 says that Unless the Lord watches over the city, those that watch watch in vain. Unless the Lord helps us in our response we will likely respond wrong. Join me this week as I hash this out.

Does the Lord always speak to us so clearly that it would be impossible to hear Him?  No.  Sometimes He speaks quietly so that we can do the best things for Him

In the field, or at home.  How do you scout to make sure you are successful.  Today I talk about some of the tools I use for hunting, and how we need to scout our relationships out with the same fervor to achieve success

Have you ever been so disappointed and defeated that you just wanted to give up?  Me too, in fact, I had one of those days yesterday.  Let me open up a bit and let you know how I failed yesterday and see if my failures can bring you some relief.

What would you do anything for?  What hunt?  What life experience?  Today I talk about the One Thing we should always do anything for.  

Storms are all around us. It is important we are aware where they are and just how fast they are coming. Today I give you two things you need to know before the storms come.

Sometimes it is hard to take the time necessary to renew our minds and bodies, yet God made us to rest.

ANGER!!!!  I know we all experience it, sometimes, we don't handle it well, I believe the reason is, we don't really deal well with it.  How do we handle anger without sinning.  I will talk about that today.

Have you ever noticed how fast a simple statement can cause a situation to get out of control.  Today I talk about how our tongues are fires in a forest that hasn't had rain in months.  But, we can control it, only if we are aware.

It is fun to anticipate the future, whether it is a vacation, or a hunting trip, or even a date night.  But if those events don't meet our expectations, it can be upsetting.  However, we will never be disappointed in heaven, let's spend our time anticipating that.

This week is the start of turkey season.  I have a friend coming and doing some turkey calls, and then we get into how turkey hunting is like leading children

Life is a myriad of deadlines, and there are a lot of people who do not meet them.  If you want to have successful children, you need to be intentional about teaching the concept of deadlines to the children in your care.   Questions?  alangedde@gmail.com

I am horrible at making decisions sometimes, mostly because I don't want to make the wrong decision.  If you are constantly second-guessing yourself, you will have a hard time making tough decisions.
