Today in our series about Law and Gospel, we talk about how we apply Law and Gospel to ourselves, and how to take the Law and Gospel we find it Scripture and make it our own.

We start off our LawGospel sermon series by talking about what makes us good and righteous.

Today we talk about the obvious fact that we are not in the Resurrection yet with an eye towards how great that day that Jesus Christ has won for us on the cross.

Where do you look when you get in trouble? Do you look up? Do you look down? What does where you look tell you about what you're looking for? We talk today about Peter walking on the water and the meaning of the blue field in Luther's Rose symbol.

We talk about the inestimable value of Christ's salvation won for us on the Cross which gives us joy like no other thing can.

We talk about how God rescues our hearts from the salt and brine of the sinful world, and what the "heart" in Luther's Seal is all about.

Today we start a new sermon series called the Rose about the most enduring symbol of the Lutheran faith. At the center of this Rose, and at the center of our faith, you will find the Cross. 

This classic "University Lutheran question" gets at the notion of what Jesus is getting at when He calls His disciples "little children".

When God asks us to have faith in something, He is telling us that whatever that is, that we should consider it as already done. We talk about how this applies to our life of faith and the time of our lives.
