In this episode I talk about who my favorite teams are to win the event in no particular order. I also dive a little deeper into some of the more innovative lists from the event that caught my eye and discuss some general meta bits and bobs before the event. And as a treat we trash talk the 3 IG pods as we bemoan the fact that commitments are keeping me from the brawl this year.

Its the calm before the brawl List lock occurred earlier today. And that means I do what I do best, and I do an initial read of the teams the meta and go through the particulars of the lists present. Today we look deep into the eyes of our friendly neighbors to the north and talk through their lists for Teams Goose and Moose. We than see what last years winners have cooked up to try and keep their thrones.  Lots of interesting bits in this one and some great tangents.

We talk the big news in that we have new Overlords at Privateer Press now Steam Forge Games has acquired the IP and the assets and are continuing the game but with better distribution marketing and larger cash reserves. We do some pretty liberal song usage at the front taking from Star Trek Deep Space 9, Pink Floyd and Reel Big Fish with a special guest lyric drop by yours truly. 

I recently captained a team in the European Team Online League 1 event found here https://warmachine.longshanks.org/event/14321/   this fantastic event was a miniature WTC and playing in it with a group of hand raisers across 3 different countries was awesome to do. I go over some of the numbers from the event that is winding down and give my personal perspective around the event. 

I dive deep into the numbers to get a small snap shot of the 90 person american event and glean some nuggets of wisdom or stats folly. This one is for the baseball numbers nerds lol. Deep dive and remember folks these get better if we actually enter our casters into long shanks.
