Two Kids One Doctorate

I'm a 4th generation single mother and who knows how many other generations before that. I did say single parenting stopped with me, until it didn't. I have is the ability to shape my children's future as parents, if they choose to have children.

DOUBT is holding you back from the the next level you. Listen and take note.  

I caught myself in a lie. I told you in the last episode that I didn't get anything from my dad, but through the knowledge I had of him and about him, I know I did. I tell the truth in this episode. I learned a lot from the man who didn't provide love or presence.

What is possible? Possibilities are endless, if you remain disciplined and consistent through the process of working towards achieving your goals that were once planted in you as a dream, wish or hope. You have access to make a difference in your life and those around you and those who come after you. 

If what you've tried to bring on change to your circumstance didn't work, there are still more options. Don't be bogged down by your current situation at a dead end job that doesn't value, support or respect you. You can have a different experience. Are you ready? Once you're ready the next big step is deciding.

We are overwhelmed and stressed with all the responsibilities we have as a single parent. I'm here to remind you that your kids are watching. Do you want them to remember you as an overwhelmed and stressed parent? Relax and enjoy this moment.

Lessons from me! Self-awareness is so important and it has lead me to a lot of healing. I wish the same for you. Take a listen and start, either reflecting or growing or both!

How long have you lived your life powerless? You've given your power to others and are living according to what others want of you. Expectations and approval from others lead you. If is on an unconscious level, I hope this episode brings it up to conscious.

This episode I go deeper into what I know now about myself that I didn't know about me in marriage. Moral of the story is that you must know you, love you and decide for you.

How did I know I was ready to end my marriage? I knew it and felt it, there was so much of my energy telling me that this was it. Listen to this if you are in that space now or went through it already. Separation and divorce are not easy to come to and we think about the effects on everyone else before we make that final decision.

Happiness might be hard to find and even see or feel it when is present. This too can change when your mindset changes to receive it, to see it and feel it. And guess what?! You can also share it :-). 

Letting go of anger is healthy and one of the best things you can do for YOU. I make it sound simple and I promise it becomes simple. Don't let it become so rooted that it feeds other trees and you end up with a forest of rooted anger.

This is for the soon-to-be divorced woman. If you are in a happy and satisfying marriage, don't confuse this with a plead for you to divorce. This is a voice note for the women who are done and ready to go forward with a divorce.

This is a love letter to my sorority sisters. The best decision I made was joining a wonderful chapter of strong women. Cheers to the lifetime of moments and memories.

How the doctoral journey began and what I learned on the way.
