This episode we look at one of the biggest pop culture phenomenons of the 90's. A movie that changed the game and lead to 1000 parodies along the way. This is 1999's "The Matrix". 

Some late 90's, Michael Bay magic this week, as we take a look at 1998's "Armageddon". Bruce Willis leads a stacked cast, for an action disaster epic that was a massive success and even lead to a huge number one hit on the music charts as well.

We are back!! It's been a while, but all 4 of us return and to celebrate we are doing a Sally pick. We are going back to 1989 with the late, great Rob Reiner's smash hit 'When Harry Met Sally'. Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal lead this romcom that took the world by storm and to this day is listed amongst the best of all time.

This week we look at 2003's 'Pirates of the Caribbean - the curse of the black pearl'. This was the first movie based off of the famous Disneyland ride that became a massively successful franchise.

In 2001 Vin Diesel and Paul Walker starred in a high octane, street racing, action film that somehow kicked off one of the biggest franchises of the 2000's with 9 sequels to date. But it all started with this movie "The fast and the furious".

This week we are looking at 2010's "Easy A". This sees Emma Stone as Olive and when a lie about Olive's reputation transforms her from a nobody to notorious at her high school, she decides to embrace a provocative new persona.

Time for a mystery! This week we are looking at Rian Johnson's 2019 whodunit movie "Knives Out", about a crime novelist who is found dead after his 85th birthday celebrations and the case that follows.

Some 80's gold this week with Richard Donner's 1985 family/adventure film "The Goonies". This movie see a group of children facing their last days together before a development paves over their homes stumbling upon evidence of a pirate's treasure.

Time for a listener pick! this week we are doing 2002's "Bend it like Beckham" where a girl bends the rules to reach her goal, and play soccer. But her traditional parents want her to hang up her football boots, find a nice boy and learn to cook.

In 1987 we met the future of law enforcement, "Robocop". Paul Verhoeven's ultra violent vision of a future Detroit where a murdered police officer is resurrected as a cyborg crime fighter.

This week we go back to 2001 with 'The Princess Diaries".This sees a clumsy, shy teen discovers that she's the princess of a small European state. She is then coached and must prove that she is worthy of her title while trying to make it through her school year.

We are taking a look at "A Quiet Place" this week, a 2018 sci-fi/horror/thriller and a sensory experience. It sees a family struggle for survival in a world invaded by blind alien creatures with ultra-sensitive hearing.  

A big part of Disney's big run in the 90's, this week we look at "The Lion King". An iconic Disney animated movie that has lived on through a number of sequels, a 3D re-release,  a live action remake and massively successful stage musical.

We are taking a look at some MCU this week and the movie that really got things going. This week it is 2008's "Iron Man", with Robert Downey Jr in the lead role he was so perfect to play and also lead the Marvel universe to become one of the biggest movie franchises of all time.

Time for a listener pick, it's been a while. This week we are doing the 2005 Samuel L Jackson biographical sports drama 'Coach Carter'.

Time for some late 90's teen comedy this week. We are taking a look at 1999's "She's all that". This sees Zack (Freddie Prinze Jr) make a bet with his friends to turn a socially inept Laney (Rachael Leigh Cook) into their high school's next prom queen.

Based on the massively successful book by Dan Brown, this week we are taking a look at 'The Da Vinci Code'. Ron Howard directs this 2006 adaptation that sees Symbologist Robert Langdon inspect a bizarre murder. But he soon comes across a religious enigma protected by an age-old secret society.

In 1992 Quentin Tarantino burst onto the scene with a movie that kick started his career as well as changing the modern landscape of movies as we knew it. It all started with "Reservoir Dogs", join us as we discuss Tarantino for the first time and this great filmm he debuted with.

In 1993, Disney released 'Cool Runnings' the story based on true events of the first ever Jamaican bobsled team. It's a funny and heartwarming ride that was a massive hit at the time, take a listen.

It's our first martial arts movie, our first Van Damme movie, it's 1988's "Bloodsport". A fun ride loosely based on a true story about an underground fighting tournament. Get ready to do the splits, hit some spin kicks and have a lot of fun. 

In 2008 Will Ferrell and John C Reilly teamed up for a movie that became a modern comedy classic. This week we take a look at 'Step Brothers', a movie about two middle-aged men who still live with their parents and are forced to stay under the same roof together.

This week we are looking at the 2020 directorial debut from Emerald Fennel "Promising Young Woman". This follows a young woman haunted by a traumatic past as she navigates forgiveness and vengeance. 

It's finally here, after Lee and Adam arguing many times about it, we are looking at Kathryn Bigelow's 1991 action movie "Point Break". Let's all live to get radical. 

This week is a Sally pick, in 2006 "Little Miss Sunshine" was released to much critical acclaim and Oscar nominations. We take a look at this comedy/drama that has a stacked cast and a lot of emotions in it, hope you enjoy.
