TV is AWESOME

It's the first of two very special episodes on shows we love! This time, we're talking "Shrinking"! A psychologist, played by Jason Segal, hits rock bottom after a tragedy, but tries to turn his life around by rebuilding his relationships with his family and friends, and by trying out some unconventional therapy methods with his patients.  This week's links! Mrs. Davis:  h...

TV Watchers, it's the long (looooooong) awaited wrap up to our "The Last of Us" coverage! We say to goodbye to Ellie and Joel (for now) in a jam packed episode that includes a flashback to the day Ellie was born (with her mom being played by Ashley Johnson, the game's Ellie!), a reunion with Marlene, and giraffes! Joel makes a heartbreaking confession... AND a brutal, horrifyin...

Two episodes left to wrap up our "The Last of Us" coverage! This time, it's the penultimate episode, "When We Are in Need".  It's a harrowing one as Ellie faces a religious cult with a very dark secret, and is pushed to her limit. Meanwhile, Joel, still nearly at death's door, takes no prisoners in his effort to find Ellie and rescue her. This week's links!...

TV Watchers, we're wrapping up our "The Last of Us" coverage with three new episodes! First up is "Left Behind" - while Joel struggles to survive after last episode's attack, Ellie thinks back to a special night spent with another important friend. This week's links! We're covering two more episodes of The Last of Us!  This show continues to rip out our heartstrings (is it dusty in here?).  We learn the backstory of our Kansas City characters including the terrible choice Henry makes to keep Henry alive, and the lengths Kathleen will go to avenge her beloved brother.  There's also a huge Cordyceps assault (after not hearing a peep from those saucy mu...

This time on THE LAST OF US... Joel and Ellie arrive in Kansas City! And they get into all kinds of trouble with the locals.  Joel says Ellie is just "cargo" but we know he's starting to soften. And Ellie learns more about Joel's dark nature when she's forced to take action using the gun she's been hiding.  Meanwhile,  what does PTA Karen rebellion leader, Kathleen, h...

This time on TVIA: two new episodes of The Last of Us!  We talk about some truly hideous the fungus zombies, a REALLY disturbing fungus zombie make out session, a pulse pounding journey through a possibly fictional Boston museum, and an unexpected, heart breaking love story.  Hosts: Lisa Carroll Tremblay and Ken Cornwell  Producer: Cole T. Check out our merch! TV is Awesome at Spreadshop: tv-is-aw...

TV Watchers, BIG NEWS!  We are covering... The Last of Us!  And we're really into it. I mean, what's not to love??  The show gets off to a rollicking, pulse pounding introduction to the story;  then a big time jump brings us to a dilapidated, post-apocalyptic Boston under marshal law where meet our stars TWO, count-em, TWO former Game of Thrones players!). Oh, and there are nasty mushroo...

It's the homestretch, TV Watchers, of our "Sandman" coverage! Just 4 episodes left... will we make it to the end?! All sorts of things are happening. We're introduced to the very convoluted story of Jed, Rose, and  Rose's motley crew of sit-commy friends.  Jed and Rose have been lost to each other for years, but we can't figure out why.  Rose does discover that she ha...

This is it, TV Watchers - our big season ending episode on "The Sandman"! Gilbert and Rose go on a road trip. Our long separated siblings are finally reunited at a... serial killer convention.  Rose's vortex energy goes out of control and great-grandma, Unity, needs to step.  Lyta is waaaaayyy too calm about her dream baby. Dream and the Corinthian finally go head to head. And Dream...

TV Watchers, we are halfway through our series on the Sandman!   This time around, we are blessed with 80% less Squawk (are the creators listening to us?),  but maybe 50% more ick.  The ick is found mostly in the first episode where John uses his amulet to play some nasty games with both a group of people stuck in a diner - and seemingly the rest of the world - that appear to have dire consequence...

In this episode of TVIA, we're going to Hell!  We are back covering two more episodes of The Sandman and, as always, we have THOUGHTS.   Dream journeys to Hell on his quest to regain his objects of power.  Apparently there are " protocols" in Hell, and it's... cold?  Our dear Brienne of Tarth is Lucifer!  But she's saddled with the most unfortunate nana perm.  We get an ex...

TV Watchers, we're back with a new season on The Sandman!  We meet the moody and broody Dream who is imprisoned for 100 years by Tywin Lannister, um, Roderick Burgess. We have so many questions!  Do the Endless eat?  What's up with the creepy Corinthian and why is what is he taking people's eyeballs? How can a little bump on the head be so lethal? And did they have credit cards in 1...

Lisa and Ken are back with more of The Sandman!  We love Lucienne. More Lucienne! And we love Ethyl too!  But how old is she, exactly, and how old is John who looks older?  Can we have our own pet gargoyle, please?  What's up with the show's version of Cain and Abel (and their pointy elfin ears)?  We're still confused about whether or not Dream needs to eat (he's soooo thin).  ...

This it! At last we have reached the final two episodes of OZARK... ever!  Listen as we sort through our conflicting feelings about the fates of the Byrdes, Ruth, Agent Maya, Mel, Rachel, Evil John Boy, and Baby Zeke. (Spoiler alert: we don't know what happens to Baby Zeke.)   Who does not survive the finale?? (grrrr)  Who survives the van wreck that's been teased all season?  (ugh)  Is...

TV Watchers, we're almost at the very end of Ozark, and frankly, we're worried! Are we going to be happy where this whole thing ends up?  So, what's up with the "Wendy is losing her mind" music? She's not crazy! Why did she get spend the night in jail with Marty when that road rage dude HIT HER?  And Marty... MARTY... why are you spilling your guts to Charlotte? Not s...

TV Watchers, we're getting close to the end of Ozark, and we can't handle the tension! The deals with both the FBI and Shaw Pharmaceutical are off the table, so Wendy and Marty are scrambling to make something work. The show wants us to think Wendy is bad, or crazy, or something, and we don't like it! Mel and Agent Maya are flirty flirty flirty. Marty is off to run the Cartel in Mex...

Hello TV Watchers! This time on Ozark: two Ruth-centered episodes! Ruth is furious to find out Wyatt is marrying Darline. Then, after some awful news, Ruth screams from the depths of her soul, and it is absolutely devastating. And the body count is stacking up (bye bye, Javi, we won’t miss you).  Check out our merch! TV is Awesome at Spreadshop: tv-is-awesome.myspreadshop.com [TV is Awesome Season...

TV Watchers, it's OZARK Season 4 time again! We're almost at the midpoint of the season, and we have questions! How is Wyatt still putting up with a trigger happy Darlene??  Is Wendy really trying to win over Jonah by almost getting him arrested?? Shouldn't a body bleed out all over the kitchen when it's been laying around all day?  Join us to see if we can make sense of it all...

TV Watchers, we're taking a break from OZARK to bring you a special episode on the show of the summer, The Bear! We're crazy about Carmie and the crew... even Richie! We have a TON of thoughts and questions though. How did the money get in the cans of tomatoes, and more importantly, WHY?  How great were the cameos by actors we love?  How did Natalie get the nickname, "Sugar"? ...

We're blasting our way through Ozark Season 4! This time Wendy is hating on Ruth while making some really un-Wendy-like bad decisions. Agent Maya comes face to face with Navarro.  Wendy and Marty disagree on Jonah, but seem to agree on most everything else. Charlotte has a heart to heart with Erin in Chicago while Wendy and Marty have a big meeting with Clare.  Darlene takes out ANOTHER perso...

Let Season 4 of Ozark commence! We begin with a flash forward to the future where something seriously terrible seems to be happening to the Byrdes! Then, we zip right back to where we left Marty and Wendy at the end of Season 4... covered in Helen's brains. After Wendy delicately dabs away ineffectually (sorry, Wen, but I think you're gonna need to wash that hair), we're introduced...

It's our big Ozark Season 3 wrap up! As we finish off this dramatic season of the show, lots of our favorite characters... get finished off.  So much drama! Ben continues to make one bad decision after another leading to a road trip from hell with Wendy.  Erin gets a truth download from the Byrde kids that confirms everything Ben told her.  Helen is NOT happy about it. Wendy drinks car vodka...

TV Watchers, we're nearing the end of Ozark Season 3! In this episode, we talk about the fate of Sue (the sports car was a bad idea). Something awful happens to Ruth, and we're still not over it.  Ben goes rogue and confronts the last person in the world he should be confronting.  Meanwhile, Helen has her super observant evil eye on everything, which is very bad news, not only for the By...

TV Watchers, we're back with an episode on 2 more episodes of Ozark as we continue on our high-speed Acela express watch! Marty is back from his Mexican vacation in the torture dungeon, and all is great (yeah right) as he and Wendy rush off to buy a horse farm in Kentucky under Navarro's orders.  Which seems to go very suspiciously well at first, then goes very wrong in typical Ozark fas...
