First we got the House Party reboot from this director, and now he's back with yet another 90s classic that he's putting a modern day spin on... I'm not saying I'm looking forward to this but as a basketball buff, y'all know what I'm here for. And I will say that I think Jack Harlow will be a comedic standout here. That is all. So we've basically got a modern take on Frankenstein/Frankenstein's Monster... Only it's a black girl as the lead, she's bringing her brother back from the dead, and it's set in the projects. Sign me up. This can be interesting enough to fall perfectly in line with the rest of the modern black horror projects that are killing it right now. I hope this is as weird as it looks. I always say that when Hollywood can't seem to get the job done, in come the true fans who spend their own money to make things happen... 2010 was the last time Elm Street fans were blessed, or lack thereof, with a new take on the property and it wasn't pretty. To get straight to the point, I wasn't a fan of the first Captain Marvel movie... And being as though I already wasn't familiar with the character, the movie being bland as hell didn't help much. But here we have Brie Larson back, and she's got some help along the way. She's also got director Nia DaCosta at the helm of this. With how female driven this sequel is overall, I'm definitely rooting for...

I did this one pretty late last night... Which in turn means that I stayed up even later, which ties into the fact that I'm up early for the upload itself. Going into this completely blind, the two things I was ready to do were root for Xolo Mariduena from Cobra Kai, and to have the closest thing to a modernized Guyver reboot I can get... But in all seriousness, I've been wondering what this was going to look like very early on for DC. I haven't lost hope for them completely, but we need a good sucker punch of a fun superhero flick and fingers crosse...

This has been a must watch for years now and being as though years have finally passed, I decided that it's time I must watch... Don't judge me. Low key, I'm a sucker for werewolves on screen, and a lot of it has to do with the transformations that practical effects give me. So when you throw Joe Dante behind the camera and Dee Wallace in front of all that, you have me sold. Enjoy, y'all.
