Truth that Transforms

Main Point: Paul takes three steps to teach the Galatian Christians the truth about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Main Point: Full and lasting joy is found in God’s presence.

Main Point: By means of three principles Jesus teaches and demonstrates that servanthood is essential to Christianity.

Main Point: Jesus commands the universal mission of the Church: make disciples of all nations.

Main Point: All believers are adopted into the family of God and called to walk as His children in community with one another.

Main Point: Our mission, to know Christ and make Him known, is a community project.

Main Point: The resurrection of Jesus is explained through different witnesses so that you may believe and be a faithful witness for Christ.

Main point: Jesus willingly receives the full exercise of the Father’s wrath against the sins of His people so that we can be reconciled to God and live for His glory.

Main point: At Jesus’ Roman trial before Pontius Pilate, Jesus again acknowledges that He is indeed the Messiah, the King of the Jews. Ironically, the guilty insurrectionist Barabbas is released by Pilate in the Passover clemency, while the righteous and innocent Son of God is delivered over to crucifixion. Yet, this is all part of God’s purpose and plan to accomplish His promised salvation.

Main point: Peter’s denial of Christ serves as a sobering reminder of the grievous consequences of self-confidence in spite of the best intentions. On the other hand, it is also an encouragement regarding the forgiveness of God.

Main point: At His unjust trial, Jesus forces the hand of the high priest and the Sanhedrin by admitting He is the Messiah and declaring He will return to judge with perfect justice.

Main point: Even at His betrayal and arrest, Jesus follows God’s sovereign plan and acknowledges that the events are in fulfillment of Scripture. Jesus’ faithfulness stands in contrast to the other people and groups in the passage.

Main point: At the Last Supper Jesus establishes a new covenant in His blood that would do what the old covenant sacrifices could not do - take away sin, cleanse the heart, and promise eternal life to the believer.

Main point: The plot to arrest Jesus is contrasted by a woman who acts out of sacrificial love for Him.

Main point: Jesus teaches about His second coming and the need for watchfulness, faithfulness, and perseverance.

Main point: Jesus continues to describe the end times, specifically focusing on the future tribulation.

Main point: In response to a comment from His disciples about the beauty of the temple, Jesus predicts its destruction and delivers a discourse describing the signs (and nonsigns) of the end times.

Main point: Jesus cautions His disciples about false religious leaders and their character traits and points out a case study of one of their victims.

Main point: After having been asked several significant questions by religious leaders in one day, Jesus asks the question of the day: “Who do you say that I am?”

Main point: Jesus answers a scribe’s question regarding the greatest commandment and teaches us the most important priorities for our lives.

Main point: The Sadducees seek to discredit Jesus with a question about multiple marriages in the resurrection. Jesus responds by rebuking their ignorance of the Scriptures and the power of God. Resurrection life for God’s children will be wonderful beyond words!

Main point: Christ’s resurrection gives us H.O.P.E. and changes our lives today in four ways.

Main Point: Jesus tells a parable that graphically depicts what the religious leaders will do to Him. However, the Son who was rejected becomes the chief cornerstone of the church.

Main Point: Christ's authority is divine and supreme. Genuine Christians live under His authority, obey His Word and represent Him wherever you are.
