Trailview Church

By faith in the Gospel we are saved, but the gospel not only saves us from death and hell. The gospel calls us to the life of everyday missionaries. So we live our lives on missionaries through our actions and our words.

The church should be a people who are welcome to live the 100% honest versions of themselves. This looks like welcoming one another as Christ has welcome us. Only when we are 100% honest before God can we experience the depth of transformation and joy that we long for.

The Gospel transforms the deepest parts of our heart. Our spiritual formation happens when we learn to apply the gospel to the root level parts of our lives and then the Lord produces fruit!

The Gospel created a compelling community. The Gospel is the foundation by which the compelling community of the church is built. The Gospel is what we are shaped by and what drives us to advance the gospel as a compelling community.

The church exist to advance the gospel by living as sent servants, messengers, and ambassadors of Jesus. At tarilvew we do this in three way: 1. Personal Evangelism, 2. Community Engagement, and 3. Church planting.

Each of our souls long for something. We long for pleasure, delight, and joy. That longing leads us to search within us and the world for something that will delight our souls. Our souls will keep searching until we find the soul quenching delight in Jesus.

The fathers love is not conditional to what you have do or have haven't done. The story of the prodigal son beautifully shows us the love of the father for the rebellion son and the so who believed the fathers love for him was because of what he did for the father.

God instructs us to love Him in response to His love for us. This week Pastor Kenny from The Garden Church preached on Deuteronomy 6:4-9 reminding us that our first love must be for God and from that everything else flows.

What is a pastor and what do they do? This week as we move towards installing elders at Trailview we unpack from 1 Peter 5:1-5 what Elders do.

God's plan for the advance of the Gospel is through the Church. This requires we commit to give to the advance of the gospel through the church in our community and through church planting around us.

We can be content in all circumstances because God is good. This week as we continued walking through the book of Philippians God instructs us to be content in all circumstances because God is good.

What we think and do are directly linked and they play a large part in our lives as we seek to follow Jesus. We must seek the Lord in our thoughts and actions.

God's desire your joy, so much that he commands you to rejoice in Him. Anxiety is the enemy of your joy. God invites you to seek him in all our circumstance and he will give us peace.

The world is constantly putting forward unhealthy conflict tactics. God gives us the most beautiful picture of conflict resolution in the Gospel and healthy conflict resolution is essential for the advance of the gospel.

Don't believe the lie that satisfying the inner desires of the flesh will bring you joy and fulfillment. The better life is when we pursue Christ and keep our eyes on eternity.

In John 7 Jesus invites thirsty souls to come to Him to be satisfied. In addition, Jesus promises that everyone who believes in Him will have abundant, everflowing rivers in their hearts. These rivers are the Holy Spirit.
