There's a very cool fundraiser at Ten Spoon Winery on Friday evening for the Historical Museum At Fort Missoula. The museum's Jessie Rogers stops by the Morning Trail to give us details. 

Naomi Moon Siegel stopped by the Morning Trail with two of the four members of Missincinatti to talk about the next show in the Lakebottom Sound Series this Friday at The Wilma. We talk music (including working on the Shrek lll soundtrack, that's a first), cultural hearths and get hijacked by a 7 and a 5 1/2 year old.

The easiest way to help out the community through one the best organizations in the community. Jessica Allred from Missoula Food Bank & Community Center explains how their partnership with the US Postal Service works. The Help Stamp Out Hunger food drive is Saturday, May 10th.

Longtime Executive Director of Carousel For Missoula, Theresa Cox, talks about the need for both volunteers and tools for the refurbishment and expansion of Dragon Hollow play area.

The 19th Annual Bike For Shelter is this Saturday and for the first time, thanks to the generous support from sponsors, it's free. But - you do have to register. Watson Children's Shelter Executive Director Mike Boehm and Development Director Angie Doucette fill us in on the details. 

Casey Dunning, Executive Director of Missoula Interfaith Collaborative, visited the Morning Trail to talk about the work of the organization and, more specifically, Thursdays fundraiser at the Wilma.

Nikki Robb of the Missoula Community Foundation, moves and shakers of the Missoula Gives campaign, stopped by mid-drive to update us on this years extravaganza. Positive energy. Yep, tons of it.

Mountain Home Montana has been a part of the non-profit community in Western Montana for many years. On Thursday Director of Development Alysha Goheen stopped by to talk about the important work they do and how you can help through Missoula Gives. 

Jen Barile stopped by Wednesday to talk about the local Missoula branch of the International Rescue Committee. Interesting discussion, I think, about where the majority of refugee families settling in Missoula are coming from and what challenges they face - and of course - why they'd appreciate your help during Missoula Gives.

Teresa Nygaard from Parenting place explains the mission of the organization and why they'd appreciate your help with Missoula Gives. Plus, as so often happens, we head off in a few directions about things like books read and mistakes made. You know. Life!

Kids EmPower Pack is a program to make sure area kids have enough to eat on weekends when breakfasts and lunches aren't served at area schools. Kelli Hess took time out of her day (her birthday actually!!!) to stop by the Morning Trail to tell us about the program and how you can help next week during Missoula Gives. 

Katherine Auge, Program Coordinator with Missoula In Motion, stopped by the Morning Trail to fill us in on this year's Commuter Challenge. It's a great way to get your workplace involved in a team effort. It kicks off May 5th and Katherine provides the details.

Arleeann Santoro of JDRF's One Walk stopped by to talk about this Sunday's event at Ogren Park. Robert Chase will once again host and emcee the event. All the details are at www. JDRF.org.

The Trail Lunchbox wraps up Earth Week celebrations with Bill Caras, owner of Caras Nursery . Bill discusses the flowers and trees set to bloom in Missoula the next few weeks, fills us in on the best plants to get into the ground to start a healthy garden, and even tells us a little bit of the history of the 100 + year nursery AND Caras Park!
