Traditional Latin Mass Gospel Readings

Readings of the Gospel from the Traditional Latin Mass for every day. I am using “The Saint Andrew Daily Missal”. Imprimatur Jos Van Der Meersch 1945. I am also using “The Roman Missal (1962)” Most Reverend Fabian W Bruskewitz, DD, STD, Bishop of Lincoln. Saint readings are taken from “Saints for Young People for Every Day of the Year”. Imprimatur Richard Cardinal Cushing Archbishop of Boston 1963. For the descriptions, I am using the Online Douay Rheims Bible readings and read along. There are also good footnotes in this interpretation. Artwork: AI-generated, used with permission.

June 15, 2026. Gospel: Luke 10:16-20. Commemoration of Ss Vitus, Modestus and Crescentia, Martyrs 15.06.2026

16  He that heareth you, heareth me; and he that despiseth you, despiseth me; and he that despiseth me, despiseth him that sent me. Qui vos audit, me audit : et qui vos spernit, me spernit. Qui autem me spernit, spernit eum qui misit me.  17  And the seventy-two returned with joy, saying: Lord, the devils also are subject to us in thy name.

1  Now the publicans and sinners drew near unto him to hear him. 2  And the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying: This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them. 3  And he spoke to them this parable, saying: Et ait...

June 13, 2026. Gospel: Matt 5:13-19. St Anthony of Padua, Confessor, Doctor of the Church 13.06.2026

13  You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt lose its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing any more but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men. Vos estis sal terrae. 14  You are the light of the world. A city seated on a mountain cannot be hid. Vo...

31  Then the Jews, (because it was the parasceve,) that the bodies might not remain on the cross on the sabbath day, (for that was a great sabbath day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

June 11, 2026. Gospel: Matt 10:16-22. St Barnabas, Apostle 11.06.2026

16  Behold I send you as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be ye therefore wise as serpents and simple as doves. Ecce ego mitto vos sicut oves in medio luporum. Estote ergo prudentes sicut serpentes, et simplices sicut columbae.  17  But beware of men. For they will deliver you up in councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues. Cavete autem ab hominibus. Tradent enim vos in conciliis, et i...

June 10, 2026. Gospel: Matt 13:44-52. St Margaret-Queen of Scotland, Widow 10.06.2026

44  The kingdom of heaven is like unto a treasure hidden in a field. Which a man having found, hid it, and for joy thereof goeth, and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. 45  Again the kingdom of heaven is like to...

June 9, 2026. Gospel: Matt 11:25-30. Ss Primus and Felician, Martyrs 09.06.2026

25  At that time Jesus answered and said: I confess to thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to the little ones. In illo tempore respondens Jesus dixit : Confiteor tibi, Pater, Domine caeli et terrae, quia abscondisti haec a sapientibus, et prudentibus, et revelasti ea parvulis.  26  Yea, Father; for so hath i...

At ipse dixit ei : Homo quidam fecit coenam magnam, et vocavit multos.  17  And he sent his servant at the hour of supper to say to them that were invited, that they should come, for now all things are ready. 18  And they began all...

16  But he said to him: A certain man made a great supper, and invited many. At ipse dixit ei : Homo quidam fecit coenam magnam, et vocavit multos.  17  And he sent his servant at the hour of supper to say to them that were invited, that they should come, for now all things are ready. June 6, 2026. Gospel: Matt 25:14-23. St Norbert, Bishop, Confessor 06.06.2026

14  For even as a man going into a far country, called his servants, and delivered to them his goods; Sicut enim homo peregre proficiscens, vocavit servos suos, et tradidit illis bona sua.  15  And to one he gave five talents, and to another two, and to another one, to every one according to his proper ability: and immediately he took his journey.

1  And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain, and when he was set down, his disciples came unto him. Videns autem Jesus turbas, ascendit in montem, et cum sedisset, accesserunt ad eum discipuli ejus,  2  And opening his mouth, he taught them, saying: et aperiens os suum docebat eos dicens :  3  Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Beati pauperes spiritu...

June 4, 2026. Gospel: John 6:56-59. Feast of Corpus Christi 04.06.2026

56  For my flesh is meat indeed: and my blood is drink indeed. Caro enim mea vere est cibus : et sanguis meus, vere est potus;  57  He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him. qui manducat meam carnem et bibit meum sanguinem, in me manet, et ego in illo.  58  As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father; so he that eateth me, the same also shall live...

June 3, 2026. Gospel: Luke 6:36-42. Feria, First Sunday after Pentecost. 03.06.2026

Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you shall be forgiven. 38  Give, and it shall be given to you: g...

9  And when you shall hear of wars and seditions, be not terrified: these things must first come to pass; but the end is not yet presently. 10  Then he said to them: Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. Tunc dicebat illis : Surget gens contra gentem, et regnum...

1  Then shall the kingdom of heaven be like to ten virgins, who taking their lamps went out to meet the bridegroom and the bride. Tunc simile erit regnum caelorum decem virginibus : quae accipientes lampades suas exierunt obviam sponso et sponsae.  2  And five of them were foolish, and five wise. Quinque autem ex eis erant fatuae, et quinque prudentes :  3  But the five foolish, having taken thei...

Et accedens Jesus locutus est eis, dicens : Data est mihi omnis potestas in caelo et in terra :  19  Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. euntes ergo docete omnes gentes : baptizantes eos in nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spir...

May 28, 2026. Gospel: Luke 9:1-6. Thursday in Pentecost Week. 28.05.2026

1  Then calling together the twelve apostles, he gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. 2  And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. Et misit illos praedicare regnum Dei, et sanare infirmos.  3  And he said to them: Take n...

1  Amen, amen I say to you: He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up another way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2  But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3  To him the porter openet...

May 25, 2026. Gospel: John 3:16-21. Pentecost Monday. 25.05.2026

16  For God so loved the world, as to give his only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in him, may not perish, but may have life everlasting. 17  For God sent not his Son into the world, to judge the world, but that the world may be saved by him. Non enim misit De...
