Chris is drinking a hell of a nice NEIPA from the good folks at Muddy York, Working Hard NEIPA, and chatting about the beer related thing that he's been working hard on. But shhhhh, don't tell: it's a secret!

Chris is drinking an OLD rye saison. Like, really old. Like 7 years old. This is not normal. But it's actually pretty good. Also, a lengthy verbal description of a pumpkin lentil soup recipe. Because, why not?

Chris is trying on old favourite in a new interpretation. Sunlight Park saison, aged in a foeder. Also talking live music, and the grand opening of Bossanova, a fantastic beer and wine bottle shop in the west end.

In the spirit of the season, Chris is revisiting Pumkin Ale from Great Lakes, and talking more rugby, because why not?

Making a glorious return to Chris' good graces, it's Naughty Neighbour American-style Pale Ale. Also the usual rugby jibber-jabber, and an exhortation to participate in coaching young people in whatever you're good at, because it's good for them, and good for your soul.

As the nights get colder, Chris is getting into a big old American-style barleywine; Lone Wine from Sawdust. Also some talk about Godspeed's wonderful Oktoberfest party, and a farewell to their exceptional chef, Yamanka San, who will be leaving the brewpub at the end of the month for new adventures.

Chris is sipping and supping a west-end favourite, KAPOW! IPA from Rainhard Brewing, and getting pretty excited about his holiday coming up.

Chris is tackling two (count em!) TWO tasty brews from Left Field tonight, and getting sentimental about a Canadian legend.

Sometimes serendipity strikes and tonight it hit me like a spicy sour beer, when I realized I had a pineapple/scotch-bonnet sour from Sawdust, and a pineapple/habanero sour from Storm Stayed x Market Brewing in my icebox. Things get Spicy!!!! Also a big shoutout to all the people fighting to save Mauna Kea in Hawaii.

Chris might be an over-tired, sweaty, grouchy, middle-aged man, but he's YOUR over-tired, sweaty, grouchy, middle-aged man, and tonight he's sipping a delightful saison from Parry Sound's own Trestle Brewing Co, to close out season 6.

Tonight Chris does his interpretation of the #SteamWhistleChallenge with surprising results! (sort of). 3 different takes on a Pilsner beer, and they're all lovely, so we all kicked a goal! Also Godspeed still won.

Such a wonderful pleasure to hang out with my good friend, Mary Beth Keefe to talk about The Granite Brewery's upcoming 30th anniversary, talk open and closed fermentation, life in brewing (as well as managing stress) and just generally enjoying having a beer with somebody I don't live with IN PERSON! It's a long ep, but we both had an absolute ball.

Long one tonight considering there's no guest, but it makes sense, as Chris is having a booty-call with a pair of lovely beers from Godspeed. There's stories, memories, rants, and a PSA about starting breweries. A calm comfortable night to be sure.

Chris is getting all hot and sweaty over an absolutely incredible double IPA from Bellwoods, and after dancing around it for a few minutes, drops the "P" word.... No rugby talk tonight; you're welcome ;)

Chris is drinking an amazing foeder-aged Czech-style Pilsner from his friends over at Indie Alehouse. Also talking reopening, staying safe, and of course: more rugby.

Chris is drinking (glugging if we're honest) this absolutely beautiful pilsner from Amsterdam Brewing, bigging up their 35th anniversary a bit, and talking rugby (and why you and your children should play!).

Chris is sipping a delightful IPA from Rorschach brewing, and talking about how you can observe Canada Day this year, without "celebrating" or "cancelling" (hint: it's not that hard).

Hanging out with my old buddy Jordan, we drink beers from Mascot, chat old times, get really deep in the weeds on taste profile, and generally have a ball hanging out. It's long but it's good!

Bit of a short one tonight, as Chris' brain was melting out of his face (again), but this little ep packs a massive punch with an absolutely gorgeous No Chance With Miranda barrel-aged Saison from Great Lakes. And, of course, the requisite discussion of patio reopening and how wonderful that is.

Tonight Chris is joined by a very reluctant co-host in the form of his dog, Ginger. Becuase tonight he's drinking a Summer Stout from Black Lab Brewing, and needed a canine perspective. Ginger bailed, but Chris LOVED this soft/velvety stout with lovely coffee and chocolate notes. There is also a (potentially semi-bro-y) PSA about the value of exercise. Enjoy!

Despite being extra sleepy and dumb-feeling, Chris is sipping an absolute CLASSIC West-Coast IPA from Radical Road Brewing. Big! Piney! Fruity! So good. Also reflecting on the news of the 215 children's bodies discovered on the former residential school in Kamloops, and what settlers should be doing with that news.

***Apologies for uplaoding last week's ep again this week*** Oh hot damn! Tonight is a day light, but an absolute BANGER sipping a Sawdust City Twin Oaks Belgian Golden Ale. This beer is full of layers and complexity and just generally awesomeness. So damn good. Also some reflections on the anniversary of George Floyd's murder, and thoughts on how we can be better people.

Chris is sipping a MASSIVE imperial stout from Rorschach Brewing, doing some youthful story-telling, and (unfortunatley) reminding you all that racism/sexism/homophobia are still alive and well in craft brewing.

Tonight Chris is sipping on an absolute BANGER, Bord du Lac from Amsterdam Brewing Co. Also bigging up the lager tasting with Sawdust City and Brew Culture coming up on May 20.

Woah woah woah, this one is crazy! Kaede from Godspeed is a massive 10% still (not carbonated) beer bursting with big jammy dark dried fruits, and a huge helping of sweet maple syrup. Also, Chris tries the house hot sauce from Godspeed, and it's rock solid too! What a day!
