This Sunday, we continued to journey with Jesus through his final week on earth. This week, Sarah looks at Monday.

This week we were privileged to welcome Brother Samuel to Top Church. Sam is a Franciscan friar who currently lives in a Friary in East London. He was with us to share talk about why we share ashes on Ash Wednesday and he also distributed ashes with us as part of the service.

Have you ever wanted to run away, or been plagued by doubt? Sarah explores Elijah's doubt in 1 Kings to help us see that it is perfectly normal.

Last Sunday we reminded ourselves how Jesus welcomes those whom the institute excludes. This Sunday as well as sharing Holy Communion together we will explore the question 'Is it possible to take the wrong road with God?

Someone once described Jesus as a 'Migrant Messiah' because He was (and is) always on the move; on the road. And this week we continued our theme by looking at one of the most impacting 'on the road' early church stories; the story of the Eunuch. It's mind blowing and James led us through some great insights on how the events of the early church affect us today.

This week, Rachel looked at how Jesus journey to Jerusalem is a road of revelation and a road to His own death. What does this mean for us, His followers?

For January, we began a new series, 'on the road'. Ironically last week we didn't quite start the journey ;) but on Sunday we considered how Jesus encountered His friends on the road to Emmaus and reflect through prayer and worship, how we can adopt this way of being as a church.

Our first "normal" Sunday of the year - James takes a look at the four faces of God, taking inspiration from the book of Ezekiel.

This Sunday James continued our series looking deeper into the 'Lord's Prayer'; focusing specifically on the meaning and depth behind the phrase "Give us this day our daily bread". He draws reference from the story of the feeding of the 5000 and we explore how intensely personal, political and inclusive the prayer is.

This Sunday we were joined by Dr Ash Barker from Newbigin House, who shared some reflections on the good Samaritan, life as a Christian in the margins, how Jesus lived to transform us and how we can use this to risk comfort for the benefit of others.

This Sunday we began looking at the Kingdom Prayer, or the Lord's prayer. Find out what makes this prayer so vital across all denominations of Christianity as James begins our closer look at the 'Our Father' **Apologies, as this recording begins a short way into the sermon.**

This Sunday, we finished looking at Jesus and meals by exploring how Jesus pioneered a new way of leading and being in the world which brought about change; it was not through power, shouting at people or even envisioning but by simply being a HOST. While it sounds familiar its actually a radical way of being in the world and a different way of leading those around us.

This Sunday we continued to explore the theme of the meals of Jesus and also had space set aside for anointing with oil. Listen to James' message about the importance of how we act and what we believe.

This week as part of our Kingdom Series we began to think about the meals that Jesus ate! For most of Church history we have seen this side of his ministry as a side note - an interesting fact! However, new scholarship is discovering just what a huge statement Jesus was making when choosing who he ate with; it was personal and political.

Over the summer months (as well as moving house) I've been reengaging with the life of Jesus and the nature of His subversive Kingdom. Its done my spiritual life the world of good! I'm really looking forward to kicking off a new series this Sunday and in the light of current events it feels even more timely.
