November 8, 2023, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | Prayer for the innocents in Gaza and Israel 08.11.2023

Friends of the Rosary: The Creator has endowed each of us with unique talents, even though we are united as one Body in Christ. We are strongly encouraged to employ these talents to collaboratively advance the Kingdom of Heaven here on Earth. St. Paul articulated this concept in his letter to the Romans, one of the passages we've recently studied (Romans 12:5-16ab). "We, though many, are...

Friends of the Rosary: Even the smallest thing does not happen on earth without the Will of God. St. Faustina Maria Kolwalska, the mystic nun and the apostle of the Divine Mercy, wrote this on September 3, 1937, the first Friday of the month. During Holy Mass, she became united with God, and Jesus gave her to know that revelation. "After having seen this, my soul entered into an unusual repos...

November 5, 2023, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | Prayer for Peace in Israel and Gaza 05.11.2023

Friends of the Rosary: The Pharisees in Jesus’ day were used to point out the sins of people and their lack of holiness. The woman caught in adultery and the prostitute who washed the feet of Jesus are two examples of Pharisees exposing the sins of people. Jesus responded by neither condemning nor threatening them with God’s wrath and punishment. Rather, He forgave both women and set them free fro...

November 4, 2023, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | Prayer for Peace in Israel and Gaza 04.11.2023

Friends of the Rosary: We are not here to please others nor to demand attention that we might think we deserve. Let others show us consideration when they genuinely feel it. As Christ Jesus said (Lk 14:1, 7-11), "When you are invited by someone to a wedding banquet, do not recline at the table in the place of honor. A more distinguished guest than you may have been invited by him, and the hos...

Friends of the Rosary: The saints understood the secret of an earthly life well spent in  God’s grace and friendship . Moreover, later, they would be rewarded by entering the glory of heaven. Yesterday, we celebrated the  Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed  when all Souls — who are today in the purifying suffering of Purgatory — will join one day in the company of saints. St. Paul reminded...

November 2, 2023, All Souls’ Day, Holy Rosary (Luminous Mysteries) | Prayer for Peace in Israel and Gaza 02.11.2023

Friends of the Rosary: Today is the Commemoration of the All the Faithful Departed, All Souls' Day. Yesterday, Solemnity of All Saints, we rejoiced about those who entered the glory of heaven. The Catechism explains this mystery: "All...

November 1, 2023, Solemnity of All Saints, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | Prayer for Peace in Israel and Gaza 01.11.2023

Friends of the Rosary: Today is the Solemnity and the festival of All Saints. The Church celebrates all the saints, canonized, beatified, known and unknown, including the multitude of those who are in heaven enjoying the beatific vision to God. All saints lived on earth lives like our own; some of the saints could be our own relatives. They were baptized, marked with the sign of faith, they were f...

Oct 31, 2023, All Hallows’ Eve, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) | Prayer for Peace in Israel and Gaza 31.10.2023

Friends of the Rosary: Today is Halloween which simply is the eve of All Saints Day. In other words, it’s a feast day of Catholic origin, which means All Hallow’s Eve, that is, All Saints Eve, or Vigil of All Saints. Hallows is the Old English term for saints. Oct 30, 2023, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | Prayer for Peace in Israel and Gaza 30.10.2023

Friends of the Rosary: To recognize God as our Father, we must love our neighbor. Fraternal charity can be expressed as material and spiritual assistance, as well as through encouraging words and kind gestures. And all of us can offer prayers for our fellow human beings. Any material or spiritual assistance provided to a neighbor out of genuine charity is, in essence, given to God. And whatever is...

Oct 29, 2023, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | Prayer for Peace in Israel and Gaza 29.10.2023

Friends of the Rosary: In today Sunday’s Gospel, we get a crystal clear answer from Jesus about the pathway we should follow in our earthly pilgrimage: “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The whole law and the prophets dep...

Oct 27, 2023, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) | Prayer for Peace in Israel and Gaza 27.10.2023

Friends of the Rosary: Those who have been entrusted with more by God will be held to an even higher standard. This Christian teaching, expressed by Our Lord in Lk 12:39-48, is especially relevant today, given the war in Holy Land and Ukraine. It means that those who have been given greater responsibilities, such as leaders or people in positions of authority, will be held accountable in the prese...

"It will be a day of penance to which I invite sisters and brothers of the various Christian denominations, those belonging to other religions, and all those who have at heart the cause of peace in the world, to join in as they see fit,...

Oct 25, 2023, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | Prayer for Peace in Holy Land 25.10.2023

Friends of the Rosary: Jesus said to his disciples (Lk 12:39-48): "Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more." God has given each of us unique talents, resources, and opportunities in life. And with the blessings and gifts that God has entrusted to us, come great responsibility. We are obliged to use these blessings w...

Oct 24, 2023, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) | Prayer for the End of Hostilities in Israel and Gaza 24.10.2023

Friends of the Rosary: In today’s Gospel (Lk 12:35-38), Lord Jesus is calling us to be vigilant for the Second Coming, which will take place "at an unexpected hour." Therefore, we await his arrival in glory with His angels. Come, Lord Jesus! In the Acts of the Apostles, the angel addressed the disciples as were looking up at heaven as they saw Jesus ascending. "Why do you stand looking up toward h...

Oct 23, 2023, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | Prayer for Peace in Holy Land | Today at 7:30 pm ET 23.10.2023

Friends of the Rosary: Today in the reading (Luke 12:13-21), Jesus told the parable of a successful rich man who forgets the importance of serving God first. "Thus will it be for the one who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich in what matters to God." Bishop Barron writes: "No matter how good, how beautiful a state of affairs is here below, it is destined to pass into non...

Friends of the Rosary: Today, Sunday, October 22nd, on the Day of the Lord, we remember the charismatic Pope Saint John Paul II, an extraordinary testimony of holiness. In the light of events in the Holy Land, we remember how John Paul II successfully encouraged dialogue with the Jews and with the representatives of Muslins and other religions, whom he several times invited to prayer meetings for...

Oct 21, 2023, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | Prayer for the End of Hostilities in Israel and Gaza 21.10.2023

Friends of the Rosary: When we are persecuted, the Holy Spirit will guide us in what to say and how to behave. This is the promise of Christ Jesus that we find in today's Gospel (Luke 12:8–12). Divine help is essential for our daily lives, especially as we often become ensnared by false ideas and distractions. It's crucial that we remain vigilant in recognizing the snares and lies of the D...

Oct 20, 2023, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) | Prayer for the End of Hostilities in Israel and Gaza 20.10.2023

Friends of the Rosary: In today’s Gospel (Luke 12:1–7), Jesus tells us: "Even the hairs of your head have all been counted. Do not be afraid. You are worth more than many sparrows." He also instructs us: "I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body but after that can do no more. I shall show you whom to fear. Be afraid of the one who after killing has the pow...

Oct 19, 2023, Holy Rosary (Luminous Mysteries) | Prayer for the End of Hostilities in Israel and Gaza 19.10.2023

Friends of the Rosary: Do we perceive the world through our senses or through faith? Perceiving through our senses can sometimes provide a distorted view of human existence and universal truths. Our primary orientation should be rooted in faith. Faith incorporates reason, as it aligns with the Creator's intellect. Furthermore, faith can lead to unexpected and powerful outcomes. This is why Jes...

Native of Antioch in Syria and a practicing physician, he was converted by St. Paul, who accompanied him on a considerable part of his missionary journey. Luke's Gospel, which St. Jerome called "Paul's Gospel,” is the Gospel of the Merciful Heart of Jesus....

Oct 17, 2023, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) | Prayer for the End of Hostilities in Israel and Gaza 17.10.2023

Friends of the Rosary: “Many are invited, but few are chosen,”  told us Christ Jesus — as the Gospel of Matthew narrated in last Sunday's reading ( Mt 22:1-14 ). This means that we all, baptized and non-baptized, believers and worldly people, are invited to live up to the glory of God. The Sacred Heart of Jesus full of merciful and forgiving loves reaches everyone. Even the unrighteous are pre...

Oct 16, 2023, Feast of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | Prayer for the End of Hostilities in Israel and Gaza 16.10.2023

Friends of the Rosary: One of the saints we honor today is St. Margaret Mary Alacoque (1647-1690), a French nun chosen by Our Lord to spread devotion to his Sacred Heart, at a time when Protestantism and the Jansenism heresy tried to separate Catholics from the true faith. Our Lord appeared to her often, usually as the Crucified Christ. In this revelation of the Sacred Heart to the nun, Christ Jes...
