Today We Laughed...and Learned!

We came up with a twist to our usual episode...we hope you like it!  

This episode is the most ridiculous episode we could ever put out.  Debbie had a topic but we were so off the wall we have no idea what it was about.  We hope you find our foolishness entertaining. 

Did you know that the Curious George manuscript saved its owners' lives numerous times during WWII? We didn't either! Tune in for a fascinating cross-section of cartoon, wartime drama, a teddy bear of a man and woman who put the spunk in chipmunk!

What's there to say?  Deb brings Kris' attention to the fact that she probably never read the books she was supposed to back in high school! Genuinely fascinating facts about a family of literary geniuses combined with gut-bursting laughter. We'll drink to that!

Kris surprised Deb with a super fun episode this week about the Canadian Maple Syrup Heist. Only in Canada! It involves a kidnapping, beer, a black rock, Pagans and peas. You know, like any good heist! And Deb just can't get enough of fish balls and barrel rollers ... nuf said! Find out why!

Grovel, happy, sad, funny? Deb takes a deep dive this week into a topic that is close to her heart.  Although what could be a heavy topic, she handles it like a pro and we try to keep it light while learning a lot. 

We are not sure if today's topic is funny, horrifying or just plain informative.  You be the judge! Kris tackles a tragic story coming out of a small town in Nagyrev, Hungary. An absolutely amazing true story about what happens to the poor husbands of Nagyrev when the women taste a little bit of independence!  

Well, Kris dug her way out of the pillow tunnel and Deb was told to stay in the closet.  Today Kris finishes up her notorious episode with the Supreme court years and lots of fun facts you may not know about this cultural icon. And .. of course .. Kris manages to find some new facts about our last episode to show Deb she was listening.  

Even though this episode has nothing to do with cooking or deforestation--we needed to call it this. Why?  Well, as you all know, we are not audio engineers and we are trying every trick the Internet has to give us a better sounding podcast.  This week, although the subject matter is fascinating, the audio is not...It took Kris all day and night of chopping and splicing to get this...if...
