WHOOSH! CHOO-CHOO! What was that? Something with the speed of a bullet and in the shape of a train? Do words even exist to describe such a contraption?! Yes, that’s right, this week the Pals are riding on the Bullet Train (2022), joining Brad Pitt and an eclectic ensemble in the action-comedy set entirely on an express engine. Pall aboard!

The Pals are in the kitchen with a culinary eye this week, cooking up some red-hot takes on The Menu (2022), a black comedy about service industries, rampant pretentiousness and the twisted ties that bind artistry and consumerism. For some of the Pals, it’s a delectable treat, but others found it a bit much to chew on. Bon Ap-pal-tite!

Some say awards shows are the most pompous, boring and unnecessary invention of modern times, but those people have clearly never heard our podcast.
