What can God do with a woman, a tent peg, hammer and a plan?

The book of Judges is all about God providing deliverers for his people who continue to be hot and cold toward following Him. This book will help us see just how patient and loving God truly is toward us.

When we recall God's faithfulness it's easy to choose whom we will serve.

The people of Israel try to one up God, but it didn't work quite how they planned. Obedience is key.

God doesn't use normal means to accomplish his plan. Sometimes his plan requires we move without all the answers.

God tells the people to carry 12 stones and place them on the ground. These 12 stones are a reminder of what God did for his people in the past. What stones do you have in your life to serve as reminders of God's faithfulness?

Joshua reminds us to be courageous and strong. But we tend to forget how we stay strong and courageous. We do it by what we keep in our minds and hearts.

When Moses meets God it sure seems like a bit of a let down but what truth can we hear in the midst of the pain of this moment?

God tells Moses the reason all of this is happening in his life is to draw him closer to Him. God allows us to go through some challenges and hardships so that we can see Him more clearly.

Why is the Old Testament important? Ok so there are a ton of reasons but here's one of them and a little bit on Deuteronomy 8-9 too.

These chapters contain some of the greatest words of good news we could hear. God calls us chosen and shows us then how to love him and one another.

Obedience is a huge thing for God throughout the Bible, but what excuses do you make for your lack of obedience to his word?

The book of Deuteronomy is all about rewinding and reminding us of what's already happened. Moses will take these chapters to recall all that God has done for the people of God to this point.

God takes care of the people who take care of the people of God.

The people complain over and over about the same things. It seems we always find something to complain about when things don't go exactly how we map them out.

When we don't like the way things are going it's easy to jump to deny someone's leadership or to walk away altogether. But is that the best way to handle things?

When the Israelites spied out the land they were headed to invade, some didn't like what they saw because fear set in. What does fear cause you to do?

When we disobey anyone there is a consequence. When we disobey God the consequences are often more than we realize. God desires that we trust and obey. When we do, we'll realize just how much protection and provision he's already given us.

When we follow God's promises, we'll find blessing in unusual places. If we disobey his commands we'll notice that things go off the rails quickly.

The bible and especially the book of Leviticus is full of rules, boundaries and apparent restrictions. But I'd guess these restrictions aren't there for the reason we think.

God provides a way for his people to be saved. In the old testament that happened through regular sacrifices by the people. In the new testament, a new way came and his name was Jesus.

When we dive into Leviticus, we find a lot of rules, regulations, rituals and all the things God put in place to help his people understand how life operates best in the world..

When the tabernacle was built, we see God setting up his home in that place. But today he is found not in buildings built by men, rather he's inside you and me.

Moses gets a new copy of the 10 Commandments, his face shines bright and we get the realization that in Christ we begin to look different as well.
