This Week's Rehash

I guess the concept of people passing is hard for us to grasp because no one really knows what happens after or is there even an after life.  Every tradition has their own version of a world beyond this one and whatever requirements necessary to have a pleasant life there.  I guess that is why we imagine the after life as something like this life because this is all we know. #death #phil...

Do you want to be right or Do you want to be Happy? Many of us are usually happy when we are right but some can only be happy if they are right.  I guess it is another way of saying, You might be right, but is it worth it? #society #culture #philosophy #choices #happiness #argument #relationships #journal #podcast #twr #thisweeksrehash #earlfrancis

It may not be a problem with attention.  It may just the teaching method is not suited to the child's learning style.  Hopefully, by figuring out how children learn and adapting to it would help out parents in the home school situation that was forced on them by the pandemic. #tips #education #society #culture #school #earlfrancis #podcast #thisweeksrehash #twr #lausd #student #college #...

Complaining about your job?  At least you still have one.  In this time of pandemic, a job is still better than nothing.   Just think of the harsh working conditions they had back then before the Labor Day holiday was actually declared into law. #union #labor #laborday #society #culture #work #holiday #twr #thisweeksrehash #earlfrancis #podcast #journal

As much as we would like to seek peace, understand both sides of the argument, at one point or another, sooner or later, we would have to take a side or the chose will be made for us.   It is not until the destruction is brought to our front door do we really realize what side we are on. #riots #la #lariots #culture #society #news #thisweeksrehash #twr #democrat #politics #blm

Fortunate are the people who makes a living out of what they love doing.  Most of us only take on jobs as a means to an end, to pay the bills.  The Karate Nerd, Jessie Enkamp made a good point about people's passions.   #social #society #philosophy #culture #personal #journal #work #happiness #jobs #twr #thisweeksrehash #rehash #earlfrancis #passion #karate

Here we go again, businesses are forced to close while criminals are set free.  People are supposed to social distance unless you are a protester with the dictated cause, a looter or a rioter.  These are all convoluted!  What do we do to stay sane? #society #culture #philosophy #rehash #twr #thisweeksrehash #earlfrancis #podcast #journal #personal #blm #lariots #losangeles #californ...

Two traveling monks reached a town where there was a young woman waiting to step out of her sedan chair. The rains had made deep puddles and she couldn’t step across without spoiling her silken robes. She stood there, looking very cross and impatient. She was scolding her attendants. They had nowhere to place the packages they held for her, so they couldn’t help her across the puddle. The younger...

It turns out, when we have a full stomach, when we are not busy looking for food or surviving the elements, we tend to find other issues and drama to deal with.  Idle hands and minds either tend to create something amazing or commit horrific crimes. TV talking heads and politicians keep debating on whether it is a good idea to open up the economy.  Who should make the call, what businesses are to be permitted and so forth.  Keep in mind all these people are getting paid to talk even when they are at home.  None of these people care about our families.  They can careless about the bills that we have to pay.  At the end...
