Mike managed to get a panel at Sausomecon 2022 and invited convention goers - many in cosplay - to talk about their fandoms in anime and how it's shaped their lives.  Mike also talks about his own experience with anime.

In light of the Cleveland baseball club and the Washington football club changing their nicknames to something less offensive to Native Americans, we revisit the second episode ever of the Winning Side Coaches podcast (on this very subject) and ponder the future of certain sports teams.

In 2012, Mike started down the podcasting path when he was asked to help produce Sunflower Brew, a podcast on Kansas politics and craft beers.  In this episode, Mike revisits the podcast that started it all with some of his favorite moments - and how it led to the naming of this particular podcast.

We have a real problem here in America.  We've become way too car dependent and need to start transitioning to more environmentally - and less costly - alternatives like public transit. In this episode, Mike talks about a recent (and very costly) experience with auto repair and laments the lack of reliable public transit in the Kansas City metro area.

Today's interview is with Jeffrey Johnson, who Mike first worked with in 2016 on rap videos.  They talk today about those experiences and how they helped shape their lives today.

On July 12, 2021 a flood of details came out from the St. Louis v. NFL lawsuit - all of which are bad for the NFL.  Mike reads a few articles and tweets on the subject, and provides his own thoughts. We are fully aware that this is coming out at about the same time the lawsuit is scheduled to go to trial.
