In this finale ep of s3 we wonder what exactly Kat and Tia’s communication means for them individually as Kat deals with the heartbreak of losing the election and her relationships with both Tia and Adena. Jane makes big career moves and Pinstripe sabotages them, Sutton decides she liked her job after all, and Jacqueline disappears from Scarlet.

In this episode of The Bold Type Kat and Adena start to break down their feelings, and we break down our feelings about them. Elsewhere, Pinstripe doesn’t change his stripes and cheats on Jane during what’s supposed to be her big career moment; Sutton struggles to find inspiration for her upcoming fashion show and finds it where she least expects it.

It’s the long awaited return of Adena and with that comes the return of our ~feelings. We discuss at length the new angsty dynamics at play with Kat and Adena and what this now means for Tia. We also touch on Sutton's struggles to accept Richard’s financial support, as well as Jane and Jacqueline’s continued quest to hold Pamela Dolan accountable.

The Bold Type music supervisor Rob Lowry sits down with us for an in depth interview where we talk about his start in music supervision and get a behind the scenes look on what it takes to deliver those memorable musical moments (and the not so memorable ones). The Bold Type continues its ability to have nuanced stories about grief as Richard and Sutton navigate his birthday after the loss of his father, we are 100% behind Alex and Jane as roommates, and things get real as Kat has her first experience with racial profiling.

Re-living the events of episode 3.06 “TBT” is an absolute blast for us. We don’t care as much about current events as we revel in the ingenuity of The Bold Type’s flashback episode. The ignition of the trio's friendship, the foundation of Kat, Sutton, and Jane's characters, and of course Rob Lowry’s music choices make this episode better than we could have imagined.
