This Lesbian Ship is Intense

HAPPY HALLOWEEN. It’s finally here— we’ve arrived at the ending of our beloved First Kill. Although we’re faced with confronting an emotional rollercoaster of an episode, at least it’s our favorite ep of the season! Juliette and Calliope come face to face with the Monster Hunter vs Vampire of it all, the Burns confront losing one of their own, and Elinor faces the slammer.

We start out this episode discussing some of the shows we're trying to distract ourselves with as we wait for a season two announcement. Then we dive into episode three where Carson's on an emotional rollercoaster that lands her at Greta's door while Max puts in an extraordinary amount of work, just for a chance to play some ball.

As Carson and the Peaches struggle with patriarchal standards, Greta’s shield starts to lower. Meanwhile, Clance’s own struggles with the pressure of presenting herself to society force Max to confront what it takes to achieve her dream.

We’re back, covering the gayest show on tv— the one thing we’re sure to agree on! We might share unpopular opinions about Tom Hanks, contemplate how sporty lesbians flirted in the 1940s, and break down the introduction of protagonists—Carson and Max— as well as the lovely supporting players that make this show a blast!

Juliette and Calliope are on edge after the discovery of Clayton Cook's body. With the guild and MAAAM's closing in on them Juliette and Cal decide their only option is to run away… to Oliver’s. Apollo tries to seduce Elinor but learns when you play stupid games you win stupid prizes.

After the Burns fail to sever the gay away our fated prophecy theory only grows stronger. Juliette has vamp night out with Elinor, Cal undergoes a severing and the MAAMs grow stronger in their fight against indecency. Most importantly, Calliette takes the phrase dream big to heart.

We were fortunate enough to have showrunner and legend Felicia D. Henderson join us! We had a real and genuine conversation about racism in Hollywood, what creating a diverse workplace really means, and of course her vision for Calliette and First Kill. This chat happened before the cancellation of the show, but we feel like this conversation was too good to not share with you!

One issue resolved, but Ismail is still trying to figure out who they are and how to be that person without losing those they love.

Honestly, does Ismail even know who they are?
