God asks us to give, not because He needs what we have, but because it shows what we value. The principle of giving in the bible is really about putting God first in all things. When we give first its a faith statement that God always blesses. #wearetheGrove

Having the right plan is crucial to making it to the right destination. Once you set a clear target, start asking the questions- "Before I reach this goal, what would need to happen first? And before that? By this date ___, I would have to have accomplished this?" And continue asking these questions until you have a clear first step that you need to take today. No one ends up at great destinations...

When we don't understand something we don't enjoy it as much or get as much out of it. If you don't understand the plot & purpose of the Bible it's the same way. It just doesn't mean all that much. But when you do, and you put it into practice, you can expect the same results of all those who have gone before us and succeeded. #wearetheGrove

The Bible is so much more than a book. It is foundational for the Christian World View. Throughout the Bible there are so many ''If... Then..." statements. These statements teach us how to live skillfully in each situation we find ourselves. May you discover all that God has for you as you hear, read, & explore the scriptures.

BUT... We conclude our series by talking about the "but" when it comes to believing in God. This is a really big but, it's critical that we take an honest look at why it's so big. So.. let's talk about your big "but". #wearetheGrove

Isn't science in conflict with Christianity? Doesn't science disprove God? What about the experiment my teacher told me about that proves evolution? Isn't the choice God or science? What about miracles? #wearetheGrove

Why can't we always feel God? Some people doubt the existence of God because they don't always feel Him. If He is always present, why can't we always feel Him? #wearetheGrove

Why do bad things happen to good people? How can a loving God exist when so much evil also exists? Does God even care? #wearetheGrove

Many walk away from a god who only wants to take away all their fun. This god is really about guilt, fear and control. This god focuses on the external rather than the internal, this is not the God of the Bible. If you walked away from this god, its ok, he doesn't exist. #wearetheGrove

What if the god you walked away from, or that other people have walked away from never existed? Maybe that's not a bad thing because it can help us find The One who does. #wearetheGrove
