The people in Silicon Valley who make all those apps aren't letting their kids use them.  Their kids go to schools where technology isn't allowed.  Why?  Because it's bad for kids!  What a shock!  We are losing meaningful contact with our fellow human beings and that is bad for us.   Stop using Uber Eats and go to a restaurant for God's Sake!  

Matt speaks with Jesse Eisinger, financial reporter for ProPublica and author of The Chickenshit Club about why white collar crimes are no longer prosecuted and the wealthy seem to have different rules than the rest of us.  When is a "campaign contribution" just an old fashioned bribe? 

It's Monday, April 1st!  April Fool's Day, and the only fools are Matty K and John for continuing this failure of a podcast...But have to keep it positive at the beginning of the week!  Eye of the Tiger baby!  Try to work in a little road rage while you're at it.

The office has become the Church of Workism.  When traditional sources of fulfillment, such as family, religion and community, fail to provide people with a sense of purpose in life, they can always turn to work.  Where else are you going to measure your value as a human being?

Matty K tries to break down the latest business news.  Some business are doing really well, we may have a deal with China.  He really has no idea what he is talking about but he is trying.

Matty K and John discuss how automation in the workplace  has not had the effect the that many economists thought it would.  Low paying service sector jobs have grown at 10 times the rate of highly paid tech jobs at places like Intel and Axon.  We seem to be at the end pf a cycle and the future is cloudy. 

John talks with Dr. Eric Frazer about his latest book, 'The Psychology of Top Talent.'   We delve into flow states, meditation, goal setting, exercise, grit, consistency, creative learning...basically all the traits that my co-host Matty K lacks!  Enjoy!
