Acts 1:23-26 - What is an Apostle? Was Peter right in saying that a replacement was needed? What about the Apostle Paul?

Acts 1:19-22 - Judas died, and left a legacy. He is remembered. What will your legacy be? Are you living so as to be missed?

Luke 17:26 - Are you living for the return of the Lord Jesus Christ, or for what you can have in this world?

Acts 1:15-18 -

Acts 1:1-14 - The Lord Jesus Christ ascended to glory, but before he went he commissioned the desciples to be his witnesses throughout the whole world.

Acts - The introductory study for a series on the book of Acts. It follows on fron the promise that the Lord Jesus Christ gave to his disciples of another Comforter in John chapter 14.

John 14:18 - Continueing with the promises which Christ made to his disciples before he left them, before he offered up himself as a sacrifice for sin. These gracious words provide comfort and hope for all his disciples. We are not abandoned or left alone.

John 14:18 - Christ spent time to speak with his disciples, to promise them great blessings. He really cared about them. They did not understand that he was going to leave them, but he promised that another comforter would come.

Isaiah 55:1 - Do you know what it is to be really thirsty? Indeed what are you thirsty for? Our text offered the promise of a full and free thirst quenching messiah in the midst of this world's barrenness.

Isaiah 53:12 - The pure and peaceful servant would, however, also be counted as guilty. Treated as the foulest of sinners deserve to be dealt with.

Isaiah 53:9 - The promised Messiah would suffer such humiliation and punishment, yet be innocent of any charge. He would build his kingdom without using violence or deceit.

Isaiah 53:7 - When Christ came to die he did not kick and scream but rather he submitted himself quietly and without protest. This was all in Isaiah's prophecy.

Isaiah 53:1 - The servant of Jehovah would be accepted in the verses before our text, but now we see that he who would be exaulted and very high would actually not be believed, indeed the prophecy itself would not be heard.

Isaiah 40:1-11 -

Deuteronomy 18:15 - Deuteronomy is to many an obscure book, but it was the book the Kings of Israel had to each write out. It is the book our Lord used against Satan, and it contains this glorious promise.

Hebrews 13 - How are you living your life, does it seem sucessful or full sadness? What standard are you using? You are to follow the faith, to follow the Lord jesus Christ who is the same yesterday today and forever.

Hebrews 2:1 - In life many people are speaking. Ideas and entertainment. Many think they can solve the worlds problems. Do you listen to the word of God? Do you pay attention to the preacher seeking to explain it?
