War - jihad - is the theme now. And since chapter 9 is said by scholars to be Muhammad's last words, it could be thought that all former words about peace etc have been abrogated.

Sura 5, "The Table". The Koran declares that a table is let down from heaven... perhaps referring to the Lord's Table? And, More statements that deny Jesus His real identity.

Chapter (Sura) 4 in Koran is called "the women." You may be a bit surprised at the teachings on this subject. But I wonder how many today are aware of the Bible's teachings on "the women."

Sura (Chapter) 2 is the longest in the Koran, with over 250 verses. We begin it today. We are introduced to Bible characters but without the corresponding accuracy about their lives.

We finish some delicate portions of Song of Solomon then goes on to Isaiah after some introductory comments regarding the divisions of the Bible. Isaiah brings Israel under sin and then tells them how to get rid of same.
