Along the way, I’ve appeared on the show a couple of times as a walker, hosted hundreds of Q&A panels with TWD actors at conventions across the U.S., and eventually teamed up with my current co-host...

118: "Isolation" (S4E3) 29.10.2013

Joined by our friend (and returning guest) Lisa, we give you our thoughts on this, another impressive, well-balanced, sickly episode of The Walking Dead. *cough* *cough* Excuse me.... Think I better go lay down.... Oh, but first, thank you so much for helping us get nominated for TWO podcast awards!!! I'm really proud that you guys did that :)  Now let's make it mean something! To help us actually...

117: Angela Kang 25.10.2013

Such a pleasure to talk with Angela Kang, writer of last Sunday's excellently horrific episode, "Infected." She was gracious, open, and lots of fun. Joined by temporary cohost and fantabulous listener Pi'ilani, we asked Angela about a lot of things, including:* How season four is shaping up.* Whether she deliberately strives to write TWD like a classic horror movie.* What's going on with several c...

In this bonus episode we're thrilled to be talking with Greg Nicotero, one of the main creative forces behind The Walking Dead, not to mention a legend in makeup and special effects going back decades. We spoke with him about how he and his team dreams up new zombies, whether he ever gets disturbed by the gore, the possibility of Walking Dead on the big screen, his relationship with zombie progeni...

112: Season Three Rewatch, Pt 1 14.09.2013

TWD S4 is coming up and in preparation, we go back and review the first eight episodes of season three. I was surprised at how much more I got out of the season by binge watching. In particular I think I understand much more clearly what was going on in the Governor's twisted brain. Listen in as I lay it out for you and go over all the bits of foreshadowing and other elements that take on a new si...

109: Fan Meetup with the Prisoners from TWD 27.07.2013

All right here it is, the recording of our Walking Dead fan meetup held during Comic Con! I had a blast co-hosting this event with James from The Walker Stalkers (with Eric assisting via Skype and a cameo from Karen). It was great fun talking live with Tyler Chase (Ben), Theodus Crane (Big Tiny), Nick Gomez (Tomas), Daniel Thomas May (Allen), and Travis Love (Shumpert). Most of all, it was super c...

108: The Last of Us + Telltale's The Walking Dead 16.07.2013

After seeing World War Z, Karen immediately flew to Israel (coincidence? hmm....), leaving Mr. Blahg and I here all by our lonesomes. Since we both just played and loved Naughty Dog's The Last of Us and Telltale's The Walking Dead: 400 Days, we decided why not podcast about them! We've also got the latest news and, of course, your feedback. And next week is Comic Con and our fan meetup with The Wa...

Also, we spend a luxuriously long intro going over the latest in movies and TV, plus some great calls and email from you guys, and the first news in a long while from Lake Zombiegone. Comic Con is approaching fast! Get your tickets now for our fan mee...

105: Top 10 All-Time Favorite Movies 20.05.2013

Joined by our friend Brittany Duke, queen of Dead 'Cast Tumblr (see tumblr.walkingdeadcast.com), we count down our top ten favorite films of all time. Some unexpected picks here, and I was surprised at how few repeats there were amongst the three of us. Also a bit of news about The Walking Dead and your feedback to round things out. Don't forget, for a free audiobook download when you sign up for...

104: Season Three Wrap-Up Crossover Pt 1 13.05.2013

Another big episode as we're joined by Chris and Jason of the Talking Dead podcast for our annual season wrap-up. We give you our top ten highlights (positive and negative) of the season and throw in a little hockey and video game talk for good measure. Be sure to catch the second half of the countdown over at talkingdeadpodcast.com. Karen and I always have fun talking with these two, and we hope...

103: Jay & Jack + The Walker Stalkers 24.04.2013

It's been awhile, but we're making up for it with our longest show ever! It's the circle of podcasting as we talk with relative newcomers to the scene, the fabulous James and Eric, a.k.a. The Walker Stalkers, about their experiences meeting the cast of TWD, interacting with the listeners, and planning events. And later at the other end of the gamut, we talk with two of our podcasting idols, Jay an...

102: "Welcome to the Tombs" (S3E16) 02.04.2013

Here it is, our reaction to the season three finale. As you might imagine, we had mixed feelings, but overall thought it was pretty great. Also, we announce the winner of our Michonne haiku LiveScribe SmartPen contest. Some great haiku from you guys! Some of the best ever :) And stay tuned to the end for a big announcement for the podcast. Also, don't forget to check out our Comic Con event with J...

101: "This Sorrowful Life" (S3E15) + Dallas Roberts (Milton) 26.03.2013

It was great to finally talk with Dallas Roberts, a.k.a. our favorite socially awkward zombie apologist/scientist Milton Mamet. You guys know I've been so impressed with Dallas' line readings, and I was excited to hear his approach to dialog. Plus, learn whether it was Milton who torched the biters in the screamer pit, what Dallas thinks Milton's relationship with the Governor was pre-apocalypse a...

100: Andrew Lincoln (Rick) + Celebrations! 21.03.2013

Join us for this special 100th episode celebration! We had a blast chatting with our guest of honor, Andrew Lincoln, who talked about why he's an actor, his thoughts on the possibility of Rick losing a hand, whether he keeps up with cast mates who've left the show, and much much more. Tons of other surprises this episode, like the debut of both Nathan Melsted's extended version of our intro song a...

99: "Prey" (S3E14) 19.03.2013

We open this episode with a fun interview with Nick Gomez, a.k.a. everyone's favorite convict with an attitude, Tomas. Nick was great to talk with, and it was fun to hear about his experience being thrown into the thick of things, much like Tomas himself. Then we move on to cover this week's 80's-horror-flickesque episode of TWD, "Prey," one of our favorites yet! We also bring you the latest news...

98: Norman Reedus (Daryl) Interview 13.03.2013

In this episode join special guest co-host Gen and I for an incredibly fun and interesting interview with the man himself, Norman Reedus! Our goal was to cover things you haven't heard Norman answer elsewhere. Norman was personable and forthcoming and a pleasure to talk to. Find out what he wants out of life, what inspires him, what it's like for him to play a video game featuring himself, whether...

97: "Arrow on the Doorpost" (S3E13) 12.03.2013

Things are heating up, people! Joined this week by our friend and special guest Lisa, we discuss the ins, outs, ups, and downs of "Arrow on the Doorpost." Also, we announce a new contest (hint: the pen is mightier than the sword), reveal the winner of this week's @WalkingD3adNews giveaway, and respond to your awesome emails and calls (some particularly good ones this week). And be sure to join us...

96: "Clear" (S3E12) 05.03.2013

Why be coy? We loved this episode as much as you all did! One of the best of the series. Listen as we break it down. Note: Unfortunately, the audio in this episode was also somewhat broken down up until about the 43 minute mark. We apologize for the subpar quality and promise to return to our usual crystal clear sound next week! Also in this episode, we finally announce the winner of our zombie so...

95: Laurie Holden (Andrea) Interview 01.03.2013

So stoked to bring you this interview with Laurie Holden. It's definitely one of my favorites we've ever done. Laurie was incredibly open and genuine, giving her perspective on people's judgments of Andrea's character, among other things. Find out why Andrea didn't kill the Governor when she had the chance (it's not what you think), how Andrea feels about the way she treated Dale after the CDC, ho...

94: "I Ain't a Judas" (S3E11) 26.02.2013

Yes, we thought this week's episode was on the quieter side. And maybe there wasn't a lot of plot advancement. And we thought it was great! Listen to find out why. Also, lots of great feedback from you guys and the usual Dead 'Cast fare. Thanks for listening, you guys. We love ya :) Get The Walking Dead 'Cast for free in iTunes Support the show: https://patreon.com/jasonandkaren Learn more about y...
